Big Lupe supporter, but this is insane. Nas is clearly a better lyricist
Lupe is more skilled then nas imo

Nas tried to make records like big/Jay and has never succeeded when trying

Nas is more creative like I said he was Lupe fiasco of the 90s

Lupe did Nas better than Nas since.

This is wild. If you want to argue Biggie and Jay were better at making those records than Nas fine, most people would agree with that. But let's not act like Nas never succeeded at those records. Hate Me Now is clearly one of those records, and probably would have been a Biggie record if he had lived. Nas Is Like too. And if we go back further you can't deny If I Ruled The World was clearly the type of shyt Biggie/Diddy were doing at a high level. Street Dreams and The Message too. Nas showed an ability to make those records. A better criticism would be that he stopped trying to make those records at some point and it hurt his career.

Do I think Nas and Lupe (and Eminem) have some similar music autism where they don't care about production or structure to the detriment of the song at times? YES. But let's be really clear: Nas has multiple hit records that he created. Lupe's hits were literally given to him by Atlantic, with no creative input from him beyond the verses. And if we look at non-commercial shyt...nah. I'll give Lupe credit for releasing a good album with T&Y but he's largely been trash since The Cool.

B.I.G. actually thought Jay was better than him, and said so a lot to the people around him.

But I don’t think Jay was ever on B.I.G.'s level either. So SP is right.
