Tbh i think that was a general diss line but to no one in particular. Plus i'd guess that Machine Gun Funk is one of the joints recorded at the time of Uptown Records, where the production was different & even Biggie's voice & style was a bit different. Dont think he was familiar with Ghost & Rae when he did those records, and depending on when it was recorded Wu Tang may not have been OFFICIALLY out just yet.

I just think its a general line to rappers who do that.

Been discussed since then. Crazy how time flys. Think its a reach that it was at Eminem though. Eminem was new (on the scene). What made people think it was Em the most was the "slim" thing, especially since white folks dont know that slim is a old ass slang term.

I'd say it was at Kurupt & some say it might've been towards Ja. But its either them 2.

But those 2 Em lyrics definitely sounded like a reference to X i remember. But i dont think it was. Maybe it was a reference but i dont know. Eminem was actually a fan of DMX at those times. Of course it doesnt mean rappers still dont diss each other, but i doubt it. Seems unreasonable, at least to us. Unless theres stuff behind the scenes that happened.
