:ohhh: I've always wondered for years why Desoto, Cedar Hill, Lancaster, & Duncanville don't have DART service. Than again there's a bunch of notable suburbs in the Metroplex that don't have DART, The T, or DCTA service.

It's like that here in ATL.... Areas like Riverdale got hella black folks, and aint no real jobs down there, and MARTA bus line dont go down there. So basically you got stranded black folks who gotta trap, hustle, sell coochie, whatever to pay the bills.

The southeastern suburbs are becoming run down and they dont have no type of bus line going thru them even though they have like 200,000+ people and its literaly on the border of the City

This has been happening in dfw over the past 10 years, drive in downtown/uptown you'll see new luxury apartments being built on a daily basis. Go to GP, cedar hill, Duncanville etc etc and you'll see beautiful neighborhoods with big 2500 sq ft houses that's a straight up ghetto now and getting worse

Rent / utilities are the true crime and robbery in this country.. How are mortgages at $300-400k houses less monthly than 1 bed room apartments - which tells me the mark up on these apartments are beyond ridiculous
The market is going to crash for apts. Especially all these new ass buildings they build everywhere. The real estate companies seem to only want to build luxury apts rather than average or economy apt.s

A lot of people 18-35 live with their patens or like mexicans with roommates.

There's really no point in living in an apt and being house poor.....

Sound Reasoning
Where's the surprise? This is the future wave and believe me it is better to be broke in the city. Just much more you can do for less. But people been getting pushed out to the burbs for the last 10 years as cities become less affordable. Just a glimple into the next ghettos

I've always said I'd rather be broke in the city than broke in the suburbs. Even if you're broke in the city, there's alot more resources and ways to make it.

If you don't have a car, you can still get around with the subway and/or bus system. Plus, in the city, many things are within a short walking distance. In the suburbs, you need a car as everything is spread out.

In the city, you can still hit up free museums, outdoor festivals and events. Not many of those in the suburbs period. The people from the suburbs come into the city for those things.

In the city, you can literally walk up and down a street looking for some type of retail job to hold you over. In the suburbs, you generally have to hit a mall to do the same thing. And again, you need to have a way to get there.

All in all, the city has more to offer in these areas.

Peace
