I go to one on a college campus, students work there and they don't give a fukk and load it up. Whenever I'm off-campus they be mad stingy with it.

The quality just isn't that great, the steak tastes fake, they toast it and it's never nice and warm, always too many greens, cheese is flavorless. Bread smells better from the outside than it actually tastes. These nikkas OD with the mayo and other condiments. Cookies are on point and the chips are never stale I'll give them that.

I usually get teriyaki, bacon, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions with honey mustard on the Italian Herbs & Cheese bread.

I eat this shyt because there ain't too many options when I'm at school. But if you in NYC eating Subway you lost. Papi or Habibi from the corner store can hook you up with a FAR better sandwich, with Boar's Head meats and cheeses for half the price.

:blessed:

Unfortunately, so many people are brainwashed by these corporate chains. Nikkas rather eat shyt like Subway's, McDonald's and Domino's over far superior local deli's and restaurants.

:scust:

People need to start building relationships with people, and start getting cool with people that work in Subway. They be hooking my ass up with extra meat, extra toppings, , discounted prices free cookies, free drinks and chips whenever I go to my local Subway. Subway's not as bad as this thread makes it out to be.

Not keeping up with the competition

With its vegetables and lower calorie counts, Subway arguably invented the idea of "fresh" fast food two decades ago.

But while Subway stayed the same, better competitors got into the space.

Chipotle offers food that is raised without fillers or antibiotics and is prepared fresh in stores. Firehouse Subs and Potbelly offer elevated ingredients and side dishes such as gourmet kettle chips and potato salad.

Americans who once praised Subway's low-fat offerings are now concerned the chain's lunch meats and sauces are overly processed with fillers and additives.

"What Americans see as healthy has evolved," Harwell writes. "Subway hasn't."

2. Focusing only on restaurant growth
As American tastes evolved, Subway food remained largely the same.

Subway opened more stores without changing the menu. Today it has more than 42,000 locations worldwide, making it bigger than McDonald's.

The expansion plan is backfiring, according to The Post.

"More people have money to spend, and they're choosing to spend a little bit more on better concepts where they get a better product," said Darren Tristano, executive vice president of industry research at the data firm Technomic. "Subway's strategy has only been to open more stores, and ultimately those stores just cannibalize each other."

In other words, Subway is so ubiquitous that customers leave one restaurant to go to a closer one.
There are 4 within less than 10 minutes of each other where I live. But Subway has gotten disgusting over the years IMO

I'm suprised they didn't pull out that laminated paper with the instructions to the ingredients on it.

ive never worked in the food industry but its seems to me common logic that they would have one. instead this nikka was literally lookin at the picture and guessing what is on the sandwich. It doesnt help that everyone is high.

As an 8th grader with no job the 2 sub of the month was the shyt :wow: If I was
hungry all I needed was 2 bucks....a young nikka can get two bucks easily from damn near anyone.

Once they cut the deal

Subs became ass, the serving portions became smaller....then they got busted for lying about the size of the bread :skip:

I use to go to the one on my college campus too and I was always given a decent portion of everything.:francis:

It was always busy so the ingredients were always fresh because they were constantly ordering new supplies and a lot of people would eat there instead of the dining hall after the thrill of the dining hall wore out after 2 weeks of the shyts.

The rest of them stores, I don't go there because they skimp on food and the managers are a$$holes to the workers. I saw a manager yelling at this dude once because he just started and wasn't making sandwiches fast enough and I had to tell her to "calm down" as I was the only person in the store and I didn't like the way she was yelling at him in front of me. He wasn't even slow though, he just wasn't up to the manager's speed yet which was ridiculous for her to yell at him like that.

Subway isn't bad but the price/quality is off point. They need to go back to the 5 dollar footlong of the month or these places will start closing down.

Subway is bland and gross...taste buds don't approve. Sometimes when you leave there it leaves a BO smell on you...something to do with the bread. Charley's grilled subs are usually edible :ehh:

I'm trying to limit my sodium. any good places to eat?

Honestly, the best thing for you to do is prepare your own meals. You can definitely gauge the sodium, sugar, cholesterol, fat, preservatives, and unnatural ingredients by buying fresh, natural, items and preparing them yourself.:jawalrus: You can use My Fitness Pal to put recipes together and it will produce a nutrition label for you. That's what I do...

If I eat out, I do not watch for much because it is a cheat meal. If you prepare most of your meals in a week, you can have a few cheat meals or so... At least that's how I think about it.:yeshrug:
