I called it in December, in the other thread. The economic situation, the fact he has no real backers, and huge organized turnout among middle class meant it was a matter of time. Now question is whether the protest movement will accept the military coup and curfew, and whether the latter cracks down hard. We’ve already seen junior officers side with protesters to protect them so could lead to a big splintering among security forces. We will see.
