I always say I never had a conversation with my father but I suddenly remembered a time when we had an exchange yesterday.
I was like 6. The Rubiks Cube had just come out and I had one. I had learned to take it apart and put it back together solved.
My pops and some friends were drinking so I showed them the finished cube. They messed it up for me and I went in the other room and fixed it again.
Maybe about 3x
Then I got busted. Wasn't a big deal but I got yelled at.
Now he's been dead since I was 15 and I prolly hadn't seen him since I was 9 or so.
And here I am still trying to solve the cube. On my own. Never read any books on it or watched any vids.
I think these things are related.
I solved it on purpose yesterday and while I am not 100% sure how to do it on demand I know exactly what steps to take (have to solve all the corners first I realized).
Ummm.. any you Sibs have subconscious dramas playing out in your adult life?
