Some dope shyt on here but it is poorly mastered/mixed on quite a few songs.

Pretty much this.
Which is really sad cause Free was spittin' the entire album but it sounds terrible and makes him hard to hear/listen to clearly.
He needs to have clarity with his conversational rappin.

That said, nothing but honesty/pimpin through the entire album. 'this game not for you' really highlights his mind/attitude in 2019 and it great to hear.

dont be thinkin wit cho dikk boy, aye toonz, useless, hearts, buckle up are my favorites besides hole in my heart and game is not for you. But damn near the entire album is dope.

Not with your hands :whew:

The mixing complaints are legit. Tracks are different volume levels on some 2000s bootleg mixtape shyt and I haven't heard punch-ins this obvious in a minute

Other than that though, Suga Free still got it

If this album was entirely mixed by Quik it would be one of his best records maybe his second best

Right now it's definitely Top 3. I have it above Street Gospel personally, but below The New Testament. Free was just on some other shyt on TNT. He was madder than a muthafukka! He in a better place today, fortunately.

Suga Free is a fukking genius.

Another solid project filled with game and he sticks to the formula.

Like others have said, albums needs to be mixed again and re-uploaded to the streaming services. Quik absolutely needs to have his hands of whatever mixing and mastering is going on with these Suga Free projects. Artwork could use some professional touches and even the tagging of these tracks needs basic touches because you have the track with Snoop on it and he's not even listed on Spotify even tho he's the biggest artist on the project. Handling of this feels more like a mixtape and less like an album release.

With that said, Suga Free is in a Devin space where he knows his audience and knows how to put out consistent shyt. The sound doesnt feel dated or anything and Suga Free is in a land that NO ONE can even attempt to duplicate.

I don't think people understand how incredible and rare Suga Free is and how great this album is. This man is 49 going on 50 years old.

Most rappers are beyond washed at that age. Free at 49, is still as lyrically sharp and clever as ever. He didn't mail it in on any song, he's saying something on every track.

I haven't listened to the album in it's entirety yet but there seems to be a few good songs and a few forgettable ones too

I'm not surprised Quik didn't produce Free's whole new album but I am surprised he didn't produced more than one song.
