They are commiting a lot of money to Suh and i hope it works out for them. But most times history has shown that it doesnt and if he's getting 60 million guaranteed that is a lot to give up for one man when you have other spots to fill too. But big ups to Suh for getting what he can since you know you only have a certain amount of time to get paid in the NFL.

Mayhew and Lewand horribly mismanaged the cap for years and this was the end result. By kicking Suh's contract down the road every year, his franchise tag would have been $27 million this year instead of $12 million. At WORST in that situation, they could have used that soft tag on him so whoever signed him would have given up a couple picks for him.
They also passed on Aaron Donald last year for Eric fukking Ebron. Now they're gonna have a gaping hole at DT and after that slob Fairley leaves, they won't have a single player left from the 2010 and 2011 drafts.
