Man a doctor i was pretty close with committed that because he had a rare illness that would kill him in two years... He was about 5 years out of med school and did that shyt. I was floored but when they told me why I kinda understood. He had no kids, no wife, parents dead and he was the only child..... Wild thing about it is, he mentioned me in his suicide note :wow: He was a big giants fan, and of course I like the cowboys, the giants upset the Pats in the superbowl that year and that night I couldnt sleep because I thought his ghost had something to do with the win :snoop: RIP Dr. Klein

I got the last text :upsetfavre:

What were the last things they said to yall? :ld:

So a dude I know committed that today :beli:

I dont want to go into any specifics, for obvious reasons, but how do yall feel about this shyt? Obviously its sad, but I don't really feel all that sad. Dude gave up, and took the easy way out. shyt seems more selfish than anything.

am I just a prick? :ld:

I don't understand how people can do it, especially ones who are celebrities with thriving or promising careers.. like that Capitol STEEZ dude, I can't feel sorry for him. I feel bad for his family, and my heart goes out to anyone close to him.. but he was selfish and killed himself at the worst possible time.

On the other hand, someone I personally know just killed himself on Christmas Eve too. He was a regular customer at my families bar and just an all around nice guy. He was older, lived alone and probably had no one which is why I would guess he killed himself.. but it really brought me to tears when I found out he did it. His situation I understood, even though I don't agree with it.

I'll never be as radical on the subject as some other people I know. I know at least two people who have told me they lose absolutely all respect for people who kill themselves to the point that even if their best friend killed himself they wouldn't go to his funeral. :ld:

The stigma about the action.....we have this, in my opinion, macho belief, all this 'cowards way out', and 'suicide is p*ssy'....if someone has kids, I think that takes away their right to leave, if they aren't adults yet, but suicide is just essentially someone saying they are out, and done with this shyt.

I have my moments of spiraling nihilism, like, why am I doing this, why the fukk do I even care, striving everyday, taking those chances, despair, defeat, depression, fleeting moments of happiness, the kind of effort we put into this life....doesn't always feel like it's worth the burden, and, if someone feels that strongly about it, and wants to go, I don't have an issue with it, I'd be maybe shocked, empathetic, and I'd miss them if we were close, or even if we weren't, but I wouldn't hold it against them, their life, their choice. I understand and some I won't, but it's their choice.

out side of terminal illness, theres no excuse for devaluing your life to the point where you choose to end it. theres always someone it will affect dramatically, and you are a selfish p*ssy if you choose to hurt them because you were too bytch made to pull yourself back up after getting knocked down

:snoop:

"Selfish p*ssy" you're looking at it on one end of the spectrum. You have no idea what's going through a person's mind when they have the desire to end their life. They themselves are suffering. But in order to have someone happy that you're still alive, is selfish in itself just to keep them alive for your own gratitude.
