It's funny because back then, you could swear Hiphop was done for let some people tell it :martin:
2005>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>This shytty era by a longshot
:patrice:
I don't know, there's a few songs up in here that I'd rather never hear again and would prefer they stay in
2005.
And I can think of a hundred or more from this decade that I'd listen to before em.

It was the time when NYC lost total control of the radio and trends. They were fighting against the south since 03, but when Jeezy, Boosie, Gucci and others blew up in 05, is when they threw the towel :wow:

11 years later, the bar of lyricism and replayability is damn near gone from party tracks.

U Don't Know Me - TI
Disco Inferno
Diamonds by Sierra Leone
300 Bars
The Game Documentary album
TI Urban Legend album
Mike Jones - Back Then
Yin Yang Twins ft. Mike Jones - Badd
The B Coming - Beanie Sigel
etc.

All were great for the summer that year. Some weren't necessarily released at that time, but were major airplay nonetheless.

2005 Still goes down as my favorite summer of music.
