I mean....you can say Hot in Here from this list but that was more a pop summer radio hit and Whats Luv was more Spring, same with Down 4u
If we're talking songs that were the joints of summer of 02 that got more burn on black radio stations and parties and clubs and streets, these are the ones I think of when thinking Summer 2002
And you had Wanksta, Focus etc
To me Nore's Nothin, Clipse's Grindin, Styles P Good Times were EVERYWHERE Though and on the fringe.
But I guess it all depends on how old you were in 2002 and where you lived

Easily the best summer of the 2000's. 
Had just graduated high school as a super senior. Rocking 6XL Galaxy tees, Girbauds and authentic jerseys everyday. Nike headbands with NFL authentics. My boys used to trade our authentics and sell em once we were tired of em. Had the Dr J Nets Mitchell and Ness throwback with the matching NBA logo man fitted with the crispy Jordan 3 true blues that shut shyt down on the Fourth of July 
. Smoking hella blunts of loud daily with the squad that summer. Damn I'm getting old.
There were sleeper hits that summer too. AZ low key dropped a classic with Aziatic.
