I see where your going. but nah.

people arent saying URL is dead due to this one innocent of math snuffing daylyt...c'mon fam :beli:

have you not been following the controversy leading up to the sm3 card? nikkas been had problems with urls business for a long time this was just the straw that broke the camels back.

I do agree that in life in general alot of times white people get passes and black people get rediculed for literally doing the same shyt that the white man got a pass for. and please believe as a black man, I hate that sh!t too.

but I dont think that applies in this case. KOTD doesnt do bad business. URL has been doing bad business for a long time and even before the sm3 event took place. people were saying that URL is finished..and then math goes and does this :snoop:

the only thing saving URL was a successful sm3 event.

so nah...I dont think the black/white argument applies in this case.

plus look at the magnitude of what happened. maths fukkery resulted in battles not taking place...highly anticipated battles...how can that not be damaging to the culture? the fukkery is PREVENTING battles from happening. lux dont wanna battle for under 40k...smack dont wanna release hitmans battle cuz he tried to chump him etc etc...this is all damaging to the culture because its taking the rap out of rap battling.

if loe pesci had reacted to day and snuffed him..and a fight broke out, and the venue got shut down..you think people would be like "its ok, sh!t happens :troll:"??

:beli:
only thing you just did was prove my point

i pointed out in my post that fights have broken out at kotd events, that shyt like daylyt vs pesci happens and daylyt will be on the exact next card, that diz done thrown shyt and gotten into shoving matches with guys and again he gets on the next card that arcane basically was caught red handed cheating his way up to being a champion

and with all that said you say, they dont do bad business.

this was never about making a argument for url not doing bad business. which is where you all keep continuing to try and take this

this is about literally watching a whole rap battle fan base look at kotd like this model of great business league with no flaws while in the same breath write url as the bad business league when kotd hands aint exactly clean either.

when you watching idiots like clips and daylyt say dumb shyt "imma go get this white mans money" thats only evident that you can apply the black and white thing. the sentiment is clear that its pessimism towards the black league, and all the twitter post suggest so, "well its ran by nikkas what yall expect" is what you get all day for url. then in the exact same breath people will over look the cheating the fighting and daylyt testicle juice in pesci face and say they dont have bad business.

the point is everybody has bad business at times, you think if you talk to every kotd member they go tell you everything they do is on the up and up? you have never heard anybody complaining about how organik handled something? yet the sentiment is still they are a professionally ran business. yet url has the flaws but for the most part has to handle a much larger scale of audience and people and has drop figures to battle rappers never seen before but for them math makes a bad mistake and that is the end of url.

so again i have not once attempted to dismiss url for not making bad business moves. all im saying is that is what happens. trying to make url the bad business league then in the next breath over look the bullshyt that has happened with kotd and act like they dont make mistakes as well is where i say its some underlining house nikka shyt going on here.

again daylyt just rubbed testicle sweat in another man face and he is booked for exact next card. but because of perception of the black to the white league math makes a punch url is going down, they losing sponsors they hurting the culture.

all im saying is keep it consistent.

just read the updates from http://www.battlefix.com/2013/09/07/summer-madness-3-results-live-updates-2/ and ....WOW.

some decent moments it seems but WTF how did it reach midnight with 2-3 battles left? roflll smack further cementing his reputation as a unorganized league smhhh

also. wtf math Hoffa? sneaking serius?
also. lol go retire serius.
it started really late like almost 7 cause security was on some extra shyt all night, it was way different from nome 3 and i dont know why cause nome 3 went off no problems, smack said in his blog he was gonna get extra security to clear the stage but it really didnt help with that so it only hurt the event. IDK if thats the reason or stage 48 just got paranoid like webster hall even though smack had two successful event there. not sure.also day is right they wasted a lot of time bringing dna, con and hitman on stage, for a second i thought they were really going to redo the third round but then i realized these dudes truly dont care like that and would never do some shyt without getting extra bread even though they both cheated smack out of bread with their bs third rounds at nome3. but there was no reason for that imo

math's apology/explanation. I feel him to a certain degree, but fukk all that, he ruined shyt royally. he know it too. you could see that nikka just thinkin about having to go to mall and fill them apps out.

at first i was like fukk math in a sense, after watching the blog i feel him to an extent BUT I still cant get with him jumping out the window like that, cause really mostly everybody was under the same conditions as far as no food, drinking, security being extra, etc Angryfan got the funniest blog and its a good one but theres another dude Ill try to get the link that had probably the best take on it, he didnt try to shyt on math, I dont know if I agree that Math should retire but at the same time If Im smack and I run a business I wouldnt book him again and kotd is on an upswing why would they take a chance and book him? He gonna have to battle in the smaller leagues for now if they even take a chance which they might to boost views.

I guess it goes down to what you consider bad business

Im more so talkin aout nikkas not getting paid..battles not being released...people standing around for 12 hrs to the point where the crowd is booing etc thats what i consider bad business..those are the major issues that people have with url. yes there have been shoving matches and daylyt did rub his nut sweat on loe...which day did catch heat forbut that didnt result in someone getting knocked out..and a venue getting shut down. All nikkas want is to see battles and the battlers want to get paid for what they do. once you have made it so that we cant see battlles and nikkas arent getting paid..lof course theres gonna be outrage. Its mind boggling how you cant see the difference in the magnitude of what happened.

Do you remember the heat kotd got for arcane winning the battle with diz? Everyone was saying kotd is fukkin up..how you let a guy who buys bars get a win etc etc...kotd caught alot of heat for that...so they are not exempt from criticsm..if kotd gave it to arcane again...there would of been uproar...and you know it...so they gave it to pat..even tho pat actually lost bar for bar...

So no one is dismissing the bs that goes on in kotd...some things are inevitable in ANY rap league...but its just another level with url...rappers need to be paid...and battles shouldnt be taking months and years to be released.

Wd4 happened on august 23rd and the main event has already been released. :yeshrug:

about a 1/3 of the way through with this classic thread, looking for that serius sleep footage :patrice:

btw, if those who want something to read in regards to the math and jones incident; (mike from vladtv who was at sm3 in person)

(long read)
As many have probably heard already, Math Hoffa and Serius Jones got into a physical fight during their battle. Here is how things unraveled from my perspective. I was standing pretty close to the stage and had a great view of everything going on. Math was on the stage waiting for Jones to come out, and he eventually did, along with three attractive women who were all naked with nothing but body paint covering their boobs. The ladies were wearing booty shorts or thongs to cover their lower areas.

Smack flipped the coin and Hoffa won and chose Serius to go first. However, before Serius began his verse there was a brief argument about having 4-minute timed rounds, as Serius previously thought he was going to be granted unlimited rounds. After a short while of bickering over the time limit, Serius began his verse. While he didn't really get booed, he also didn't get much crowd reaction at all. He used his three naked ladies as props a few times, and one or more would randomly turn around and twerk on occasion. The 4-minute mark came and Smack and Hoffa called time, but Serius tried to continue rapping. This prompted Math to continuously yell "Time!" loudly in Serius' face, with Math wearing a smile on his own.

Serius eventually stopped rapping after he asked the crowd if they wanted to hear him continue and they basically replied negatively. It was now Math's turn to go, but one of Serius' ladies dropped down and twerked a bit, which might've thrown Math off, but who knows? He began his verse, and while I personally feel it could've turned out to be better than Serius' if he had gotten through the entire round, he didn't receive much crowd reaction at all for the lines he spit as well. There was one time when Math said a bar and Serius shook his head to mock Math. The next time he tried to mock Hoffa it lead to violence.

Math said a bar which he most likely expected the crowd to react to, and when they didn't, Serius Jones yelled "Wooo," in response to the crowd's silence as if to say "do you really got bars like that?". Now before I say more, there is no way to determine what was going through Math's mind after Jones did that. He could've reacted off of instinct rooted from his Brooklyn upbringing, but who knows. But the fact remains, after Serius said "Wooo" Math punched him very hard in his face.

Serius appeared to be looking in the direction of the crowd or at his ladies when the shot was landed, which made him do a 180 degree spin and leaned him back to the point where he nearly fell. Serius regained his footing slightly, even though he seemed a bit shaky, and swung back at Math with a two-punch combination. However, it appeared as though Math either weaved the punches or just ate them and kept on coming, and it looked like he hit Serius again, then grabbed him by his neck as he fell to the floor. Let it be known, it didn't appear as though Math attacked Serius once he was down. The naked ladies seemed to try to jump at Hoffa for going after their man but they were quickly pushed aside by others on the stage. Swave Sevah got in the middle to separate the altercation, as did D. Chambers and others.

After Math got pulled away and Serius rose to his feet again, Smack quickly got on the microphone and yelled to the crowd, "That's it, it's over! It's over! It's done!" Everyone in the audience had to evacuate the building after the violence ensued, which only spurred on more drama outside of the venue. JC vs John John Da Don was left undone, as was Swave Sevah vs Daylyt. Daylyt flew in from California along with some of his Blue Flag associates and was very upset that he didn't get to make his official URL debut, as he was decked out in Blue bandannas from head-to-toe. He wound up getting into a heated argument with Smack and others outside of the event while seeking payment for showing up and being ready to battle, despite the fight that occurred which was out of his control.

thing is i bought the early bird so i was right up front but at times you know people push their way up, so certain battles i felt compressed but there were less people on the balcony then at nome and even on the floor i would say less people like it didnt extend all the way to the back like at nome3 but i still at times felt compressed cause people was pushing their way up so idk sorry if its a bad answer but just my perspective from where i was standing

this is on point. math was hating saying the girls were crackheads, i wasnt crazy about the blonde white chick but the other two could get it for sure. two of the girls are in the little intro jones was supposed to have that someone posted in here. serius was corny to me but didnt even get booed, math had bars but didnt get as much reaction, i think the crowd was just dead. you know its dead if they dont even boo lmao them hating as biased nikkas, day at first also rushed the stage looking for smack but i dont know if he actually got to the stage, to be honest cause i started walking towards the exit, then i seen the day and his boys going outside one of them dudes kicked the exit door open like aggressive so it was real quick that they went to the stage and went back outside, day actually slightly bumped into me as he was heading towards the stage, then mook was inside still at first i said whats up cause i had met him before nome3 but i was thinking you aint never battling math now lmao then i was outside for a little mook came out and i saw day in the middle of the street talking to mook looking pissed and then i bounced after that
