Summer Slam Is Going To Be 5 Plus Hours

According to several fans, WWE has started sending out emails notifying fans that Summerslam is starting at 6 p.m. EST.

The email has an advisory that says fans should arrive early as to not miss any moment of action. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted the 6 p.m. start would likely mean the pay-per-view itself would start at 7, and the show would run four hours or more. The Observer also noted WWE has sent notices to PPV carriers that some shows could go past 4 hours run time, including Summerslam

I can see doing that for a Wrestlemania but not Summerslam or any other ppv. Just do an extended preview show on the network and keep the ppv at 3 hours.
