I am
Almost, but not quite. The apostles and early Church Fathers read a lot of surrounding civilizations' literature that is found throughout the texts of the OT and NT. The text wasn't written in a vacuum and the people reading/listening would need to be somewhat familiar with the subjects and themes contained therein in order for it to make sense to them.

U sir are correct, which is the reason I believe a lot of our ancestors in slavery ate the shyt white ppl fed em, in this case being the Bible, cuz it seemed familiar 2 em. They took an Ethiopian spiritual system, what would be considered pagan, and they b*stardized ,whitewashed , and flipped it and made it monotheistic in their image in an attempt 2 have and exercise psychological dominance over us in the name of war. Thankfully a lot of us have gotten hip 2 game

I think it's narcissistic to believe that your God is the one true God. And not that God/Source/the Creator has many names and forms because he is all-presence, all-knowledge, all-power. He is a force not a person. We just personify him.

We are made in his image, but most can only concieve him in ours.

I also heard that the Abrahamic God of the old Testament was an war God, wrathful and more like the Lucifer most people are familiar with today. Like why would an all powerful God be jealous? Sounds like he is insecure and overcompensating :wrist: jk.

I also learned that Venus aka the morning star is also another name for Lucifer. It is the planet of desire and beauty. And Luficer was God's most beautiful angel before he fell.

Theology and mythology is interesting to me. I love hearing the stories and getting the lessons. I believe we all should have personal spiritual journeys and question and learn why we believe in what we believe.
Judiasm grew as the hebrews interacted with other.cultures and religions. It changed from monolatry. That is god is supreme over other gods, to after persian captivity saying god is the only god, ie monotheism.

Lucifer does translate to morning star, but the term used as.reference for the devil doesnt fit in jewish texts. It was used for prophecy of a evil king that was supposed to be overthrown, a actual person, not a evil deity.

Jesus is also referred to as lucifer if the translators were consistent, so just chalk it up to ignorance from people not informed about what they are talking about.

Like you citing Milton's Paradise Lost depiction of "lucifer" as if its actually biblical.

Religions are interesting, taking the time to seriously study them is fun.

Almost, but not quite. Seems our ancestors were more familiar with the text/system than our present-day sensibilities give them credit for. When slavemasters tried to give enslaved Africans 'doctored/edited' texts, they knew they were bullshyt and walked-out of services using them en-masse.

Also, what keeps escaping most people is the simple fact that prior to the end of the Civil War, most Africans were NOT Christians. They were familiar with the belief system because it was present in Western/Central Africa prior to the start of the Trans-Atlantic trade, but were not adherents.

Slavery is NOT responsible for how Black people, today, understand Christianity.

The end of slavery is.

What you use it for? A coworker gave me some lavender sage when I switched jobs and said it helps prosperity or some shyt, still ain’t used it yet. I’m good on all that

I’ve worked with some white women who practice Wicca/witchcraft, I avoided their asses like the plague.

So do I and I know all topics were neatly laid out for anyone than repeat what they’ve watched or read. Doesn’t make it fact.

Genesis outlines a world created by God. This world is set to be governed by Humans, which are the earthy reflection of God. Without free will all God created creatures are likely to follow a universal set of rules imposed for peace & prosperity. However, humans decide to take on the challenge of defining rights and wrong individually, leaving each person open to interpreting their own self imposed rules. This has lead to the chaos and continued destruction inflicted my the human race.

Solution: Abide by the God given commandments and trust in his wisdom. Allow him to guide your decisions by using the word of God provided through Biblical text.

:russ: come on man if you research ancient civilizations and their history... you won't be preaching that bullshyt. The bible is one of biggest plagiarized writings of our time. Egyptian (Kemet) Babylonian history is all in that shyt.

You probably reading king James version too talking that nonsense.

Almost, but not quite. Hebrews were always monotheists and the text of the OT solidifies this understanding. The Hebrew understanding of monotheism went something like: there are many elohim, but YHWH is the only elohim worth worshipping. Matter of fact, the whole 'Trinity' idea comes from a Hebrew understanding of the 'uniqueness' of YHWH. This idea was made heretical in the 2nd Century CE when certain Hebrews began believing Jesus was 'one with YHWH'.....

The text isn't plagiarized at all since ALL Ancient Near Eastern civilizations had a shared ideology.

You been reading Alexander Hislop, Kersey Graves, and Gerald Massey again, haven't you.

Please, stop.

Neither of them, nor the movie, Zeitgeist, are reliable sources of information as I've told you numerous times before.
