Then there's the way in which Psalm 82 speaks of the judgment of God on these “gods.” He says they will “die like mere men.” If they are to die “like” men, the argument goes, then they cannot be men; they must be something else, and the only other thing they can be are demonic powers.

There's ONE more argument you might want to consider along the same vein. I, personally, subscribe to the notion that the 'gods' of Psalm 82 are, in fact, OTHER elohim. Not necessarily 'demons' (shedim), but other beings that inhabit the same domain as YHWH as that, I think, is the original intent of the authors. The problem us 'modern day' readers have, besides relying on translations, is when we see the term 'god', that term can only have a certain set of attributes (omnipotence, omnipresence, etc.) whereas back in the authors' times, elohim actually applied more to a 'species' of beings that were not human. Even though the authors used the term primarily in reference to the 'G-d' of Israel, they also used the term to describe deceased humans, angels, demons, etc.

This view I'm proposing has a lot of documentation to back it up and, if you want more information on it, you might want to check this out when you get a chance.....

White folks got yall crazy :mjlol:

What's crazier: Sitting around, praying, singing hymns, listening to someone 'uplift' other people, OR, cutting off a chicken's head, drinking it's blood, and praying on an alter with your dead grandmother's skull on it?

No, they didn't. The problem you have is the term elohim. Jews believed in a lot of elohim, but YHWH was always regarded as the only one worth worshipping. They never denied the existence of other elohim. They were all just subservient to YHWH.

Re-read the story of the burning bush again.......slowly.

Also, browse through this.....

https://drmsh.com/TheNakedBible/ONeill Trinity and Incarnation as Jewish Doctrines GoogleBooks.pdf

That comes from this book.....

Lastly, the problem with translating the shema is that in Hebrew, there are no verbs. The reader has to supply them.

Just so we're clear, I'm NOT attacking you. Just trading information.

You are simply factually incorrect. Jews and biblical story held the caanenite god referred to as baal as not part of the eloheim, but a rival to god and false culminatting with the mt carmel story.

Before that though, pre captiviry the caanenite god was seen has having some mastery over the israelites enough that good had to stop a minister of that deity from cursing his people, because it would work.

Again, you also ignore early jewish belief in ashura which came from the early religion when it first branched off from caanenite religions and yaweh had a wife, to again being cast aside as false and pagen.

On top of that again, jewish scholars cite again that even the.concept of the trinity is not derived from jewish faith, which is why they viewed christians as heretics corrupting their faith. Jewish religious belief in writing states that their god is only one and is.complete.

Not attacking you either, just debating.

I’m speaking on spirituality and religion not science

Religion can be looked at historically, culturally, philosophically, and a few other ways that can be scientifically quantified.

Since 'spirituality' defies definition, that one's not gonna be quantifiable in much of a meaningful way.

The Abrahamic religions have been responsible for more death, destruction, and evil than witchcraft, voodoo, etc but their followers will come in here to "warn" us of it's evil :unimpressed:

I don't believe in none of this spooky shyt but more power to her for stepping out of that Abrahamic box :yeshrug:
I like roots and herbs and home remedies. Could give a damn about deities or religion.

People scared of what they don't know as per usual.

In the sky

:obama:Sista knows wassup. We repeating errors of ancestors in 2019 and we got people condoning it.

Uhh what? When I look at the bible it says the Israelites were placed into captivity because of Joseph and his people taking over the administration of Egypt, then robbing the people of Egypt all their property and enslaving them. Then a new king came and removed people of Joseph's lineage from power and sequestered them to certain cities or section of a city, and extracted labor from them there....because they had led the people of Egypt into captivity actually.

Joseph's people had taken over the granaries, and the treasury and they held all of the property-real estate.

Then the exiled murderer Moses goes into the desert and comes back with this Parsic\Persic Zoroastrian-esque doctrine, and he secretly aids the "Persian" invasion of Egypt and the altering of the history by perverting pre-existing scriptures. Look no further than Genesis\Bereshyt (the first book of Moses) for proof of that.
