The buildup was

I honestly thought Hardy - Edge was gonna be a shoot

The fukkery with that Rey-Eddie storyline

Matches was dope, Rey - Eddie and Taker - Orton was the best ones.

Tilltisa power bombing JBL on the steel steps

That Cena - Jericho match was piff, crowd was attitude era HOT for this match, this was the match where the IWC types started to turn on Cena.

Hogan - HBK, HBK overselling in the match

Also most of the card was matches between legends..

Crazy thing is you had 3 high profile matches that didn't even involve a title! Rey-Eddie, RKO-Taker, HBK-Hogan.

Yep, every PPV these days is pretty much a 2 match show and the rest filler and it's been that way for quite some time.

Nah. 2002 in my hometown. We had taker put the beats on a Canadian for dissing our country, we had I think Eddie take on edge, we had mysterio make his pay per view debut against Kurt angle, we had Jericho take on flair, and we had Brock take on the rock for the title. That's without mentioning the showstopper coming back for the first time since March of 1998. Put on the first of 3 match of the year candidates in 2002 that he had while only wrestling 4 matches in 2002. HBK the GOAT.
