Everyone knew that Blandy was gonna cash in and fukk up the match result. Who wants to pay for that? If I knew 100% that Bryan would go over without any nonsense, I would of bought that PPV without thinking twice. Kind of figured he had to win the way it was built up or he would of been buried.
Whats the fun in knowing the finish every time? Why watch?

It's a question R=G has ducked for years.

But he's no different than A LOT of people on this forum.

They watch what they don't wanna see (Man I ain't watchin this shyt *has a seat*)

They download and purchase what they don't wanna listen to. (Man I ain't listening to this wack ass artist *copies files to iPod*)

They swear they wouldn't bang a chick for the dumbest reasons (Man she's not a virgin, fukk that ho *reaches for lube*)

They go back to something they swear they never wanna deal with again. (Man I'm done with this, last time I ever deal with this *anticipates the next time it comes around*)

They whine about shyt they know won't get fixed only to not care when something gets fixed. (Man you know they're just gonna fukk over DB *DB wins, doesn't pay for it*)

Vince is sitting somewhere like "see they don't know what they want"

That's a shame. It was a great show too, yes even with that predictable "swerve" ending.

Not necessarily knowing the finish as much as being a part of an epic moment that is being built up to.

For example, Austin at WM15, Sting at Starrcade 97, Goldberg vs Hogan. You knew it was their moment.

You can only cry wolf on a finish so many times before people stop caring and feel like its never coming.

Pro Wrestling today , with every fan knowing that it's fake, it's 100% about engaging the emotional investment of the fan into certain characters and storylines. In 1998 if you emotionally invested into Steve Austin through his valiant stand against Bret, the neck injury, the run ins with Vince, and the standoff with iron mike, you are going to want to see him reach that mountaintop, and if you buy ppvs, you will but WM 14 to see him beat Shawn michaels and reach that apex. Even with the result of the match being predictable, you're invested in the character and you want to see history and the passing of the torch. HHH didn't have a briefcase that he was teasing cashing in after the match, there was nothing surround it that could sully your moment.
