Luca Franchini, who is an announcer for WWE on Sky Italia in Italy, announced on Facebook that WWE informed the network that this year's SummerSlam will be 4 hours long and that they’ll need to prepare and make room for the extra hour for the broadcast.
Franchini mentioned that the show is now scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm EST instead of 8:00 pm EST, pushing the Kickoff Pre-show up to 6:00 pm EST.
