I've always had Banks in my current Top 5, but DAMN did I sleep on this tape. It was a 1st day cop for me, and I found like 4 or 5 joints that were my favorites, and slept on most of the rest, but the 4 or 5 I fukked w the toughest, I knew word for word, every nuance of every beat, etc...Just recently revisted the tape and gave the WHOLE JOINT burn, and noticed something


THIS IS A SUMMERTIME MIXTAPE, BREHS.

Banks known for his colder, darker, grittier tracks, plus his voice just sounds better over darker production. With this being a more mellowed out tape, it sounded good around the time it came out. But cruising the city, blasting shyt like Keep Up, House Pride, Pain In Variety, Reminder, Paint The Sky, You Wish, The Plague,...fukk it the WHOLE tape...shyt just SOUNDS & FEELS like summertime...cruisin the city faded, gettin money, fukkin w hoes, trying to get ahead in life...Them summer nights when the sun going down and you riding out...This THAT type of music. I'm puttin everybody I know on to it, from random bytches to my nikkas & cats on social media, and they all like ... "This Lloyd Banks from... G-UNIT?"


This one of the rare times I can really say this may be a CLASSIC mixtape. If that even means anything these days. From the bars, to production, to the seamless transitions between songs, shyts just perfect. Any way you slice it. And Banks kick SO MUCH game, that given to the right young nikkas...you'd be a bad motherfukker if you some lost nikka who grew up on Young Thug and Soulja Boy

The only regret I have from this mixtape are no visuals, but if you been a Banks fan, you used to that.

fukk it, this stands up against ANY of his former mixtapes, I don't feel that's a reach.
