Suns haven't had a center EVER nd finally get one with all the tools in Ayton and they can't make it work. With his production maybe he needs more touches in order to get going. It's not like he hasn't produced he just isn't THAT dude. Still don't know about trading a 24 year old center who can potentially average 20 and 12 for you. Obviously he's not a superstar but he can't be the 3rd option on a title contender?
The well is poisoned with him in Phoenix. They need to find a way to turn Ayton into two rotation players.
There's definitely teams that could use him but it's tough to find a direct trade partner for him. OKC needs a center but they don't have the players Phoenix needs. Portland could offer Simons but I don't know what second player would make sense.
I guess Chicago could sign and trade Vucevic plus Caruso for Ayton? Does Indy still want Ayton to pair with Turner? Is Hield, Nesmith and McConnell moving the needle? Would NO want him? They could offer Jones, Herb Jones and Larry Nance.
Yea I agree that a change is needed at this point. What about a young squad like Memphis with Steven Adams getting up in age and Tyus Jones being a starting level point guard that the Suns could use.
