First and foremost 95% of people on here (including Eagles fans) don't argue that he's better than the consensus top 4, or that he's specifically "elite", so you keep reciting that same sentence at a vocal minorityBlack people don’t dislike Hurts because he beat Mahomes and has a beautiful wife. Beyond that I dont understand what the point of the discussion is, the Eagles chose to build their operation around his skillset as a dual threat QB who's an efficient passer and effective at protecting the football and hitting big plays downfield. If they were :
- a middling playoff team that sputtered every January it would be an issue, not the case with two SB appearances in four years
- if they reached a Super Bowl and he was the weak link clearly in over his head it would be an issue (like Goff in LA which is why McVay bailed on him), not the case as he was awesome in both games
- When it was time to cash out they made him the highest paid QB in the league, not an issue since they reached a SB before that contract and have reached one after
I don't get it, OK he's not elite, and ? What does that change or impact?

This is a good example of why the Hurts convo makes no sense. It's just a bunch of box score watchers saying wild shyt. You play to win the game. If Hurts was some weak armed QB who couldn't do shyt, he wouldn't be where he is. He can make virtually all the throws, he simply plays in an offense that doesn't require a lot of down field shots because they have an elite run game.
Go look at Mayfield last night. Box score doesn't look great but guess what. He didn't turn the ball over and led a game winning drive.
How is it "hate" to compare Hurts to Lamar, Mahomes, Allen, etc.? People on here have said Hurts is an elite QB so now he's being compared to elite QBs and all of sudden it's "hate"

Doesnt matter if Jones is better at his position. Wins are wins. If Jones thought more like Hurts(keeping the main thing the main thing/doing your job) then Jones wouldnt have had that major fukk up last week against the Chargers. Chris needs to focus more on his job than Jalen's stats.
