People like Bernie last go around, but he still lost to Clinton.

Essentially you have two candidates that black voters liked and the major difference seems to be the viability of their platforms.

Maybe the message was, "Hey, I like you. But I don't want to be a part of your revolution."

Maybe Bernie is giving off MLM vibes. :mjlol:

Meh, I don't think many black people (older ones included) even like Biden like that.

What I think it comes down to is that a lot of older black folks just weren't convinced Bernie could beat Trump.

Lots of people have PTSD from 2016 and just don't want to take a chance, and black people have more to lose than most from another Trump term. Same thing that I think hurt Warren. I think the perception that she would lose against Trump hurt her way more than anything related to Medicare or being "Native American".

How do you explain Bloomebergs appeal?

Edit: I misread your post. It's a good enough reply to end this conversation on. Ignore the Bloomberg question if you'd like

Its a basic lack of political knowledge. Bernie may know what works best up in Vermont but he is clueless when it comes to a national primary. Thats HIS fault, thats HIS campaigns fault. How does he not know this?

Look at that tweet. How are people going to interpret "They" there? Who is the "they" in the democratic primary when it comes to these southern states? Its people like Jim Clyburn, people Bernie needs to win over to have a shot down here. And what does he do, he goes on the attack against them. What the fukk is this guy doing? That me against the world shyt only works in video games.

Early voting is open in my state and i held off because i wanted to see if this dude had his act together, he doesnt.

You're talking about a lot of political bullshyt that I don't care about, voters shouldn't care about, and you shouldn't care about. Yes, you're right he should've been trying to work more with establishment people to get his agendas passed. To me that's not a reason black people should be voting against him...

This is deflection. It seems what the majority of black people want is a candidate who is willing to build a relationship with them.

Not surprising, since building relationships is how a lot is accomplished in this world.

Again, wtf does this even mean??

I'm sorry, but if people value some never gonna happen fantasy of playing spades or singing karaoke with a candidate over how that candidate plans to govern, then they deserve whatever terrible government they choose to give power to.

If the majority of black people value a candidate who is going to build a relationship with them, I demand to know what this relationship looks like and actually does for them.

You gonna get into a relationship with somebody who offers you no p*ssy, demands you take her out to 5-star restaurants every night, and the only reason you even know who she is is because she used to be roommates with your ex....12 years ago?

Cut the shyt. this is some shyt you are making up in your mind.

They voted for Biden cause he was Obama’s V.P.

Black voters need to be called out same way we call out Republican working class cac voters who vote against their own interests.

Calling out voters just doesn’t work. I think we need to realize that most people don’t vote on policy or platform they just vote for whoever is most familiar to them. Also, the rates of youth voting is fukking pathetic. Boomers will be deciding the fate of our country. Bernie needs to reorganize and change something. shyt isn’t over but I just don’t know if he’ll be able to overcome everything standing in his way.
