We have to have real talk. Only way we ever going to truly win is to be completely honest with our problems.
1. I like Bernie but too many Bernie Supporters got sucked into the cult of personality, and ignored some of his real weaknesses. I have been saying for almost a year now that Bernie struggles talking about Black issues. He never seemed comfortable on the subject. He stumbled on the reparations question over and over again. Biden is even worse on Black issues and on reparations, but the MSM loves him and will cover this up. Instead of pointing out how other candidates weren’t truly for reparations, Bernie and his team should of had there position together.

2. Bernie couldn’t attack Biden on the 94 crime bill because he voted for it too. Because of this Biden got a complete free pass on this.

3. Our current Black elected officials aren’t shyt. Some of them even endorsed an racist like Bloomberg. We have to start demanding more from our officials.

4. Bernie should of hit Biden on Social Security everyday. He went way too easy on Biden

5. I just don’t know if the establishment can ever truly be defeated inside the Democratic Party. Not enough regular people know or care about policy for this to happen.
You’re ignoring where waging war on the party you’re running as and being adversarial doesn’t help your cause from the top down nor bottom up - voters don’t want to be called the establishment or other pejoratives when they’re only everyday citizens

I'm a man of humility and can admit being wrong. After talking to some older folks this morning, I realize I underestimated how strong the desire for "Normalcy" is. But, I still think you'll see a depressed young people turn out because I fail to see how you generate excitement for Biden of all people.. But, I'm more open to the possibility that Biden has something that might make enough people want to vote for him to beat Trump. We'll see.

...I mean he’s like the only one who doesn’t shyt on the other candidates. We’ve been begging for him to go negative for months. Biden has a laundry list of issues that should’ve been brought to the forefront. Faiz is ineffective as a manager when it comes to actually helping campaign to hit people’s weaknesses. Might just be a Bernie thing. Even in 16 he was begging the people to ignore Hillary’s emails.

Oh no. They’ll say you’re just like Trump. Know the major difference between Trump and any democrat not named Obama the last 20 years? He won.
Bernie tried to be on white man mode and pick unnecessary fights defending the word socialism instead of winning

What good are plans if people don't know or trust you.

Plenty of salesmen fail with superior products. :manny:
Exactly when has he proven any of those plans work and benefit the black base not only that people don't know him. Why would someone leave a trusted relationship for promise when YOU never tried reaching out in the first place:gucci:. While college education is now growing trend amongst black folks, it wasn't in the realm of possibility for majority of us 15-20 years ago. Many couldn't afford to go in the first place so student loans was never an issue.

"I GOT THE VOTES" talking point is played.

Someone else pointed (Obama) and he followed. Why is that supposed to make me believe that when it's his turn to point that he's going to point in the direction of a bill that's helpful for me instead of hurtful? Because he is known to Southern blacks? Because Clyburn? Give me a bill that I can get behind that HE originated or promotes heavily that is a significant positive for black people. Don't tell me shyt about what he did to get other people's agendas passed

Do you know how the senate operates when it comes to passing bills? Dems was giving Obama a hard time just in the ACA alone but eventually the shyt got passed with pelosi getting the votes in Congress... You don’t think as a VP who’s the deciding vote in the senate if it’s a time that getting votes on both sides of the isle don’t count? If Biden didn’t get the votes that reform bill wasn’t getting pass the senate..

In this thread we have people saying they're going to sit out in protest if Bernie loses.

12+ people dapped the post below from last night, including our resident mod @tru_m.a.c .

I hate how a third of the party has been hijacked by these clowns. It's why I have a hard time fully respecting their movement - too many sketchy anarchists/accelerationists types in their ranks that I do not trust.

easy....
by not voting in November :umad:

the thought of me taking time out my busy day to vote for Biden

What a ridiculous claim. Most people growing up with a middle school education get taught that socialism = communism = opposite of what America stands for. Dude is saying fighting against that sort of ingrained concept of a form economics is easier to defend than some random situation in Ukraine a country most Americans can't point to on a map.
You're arguing against yourself. Right...Americans are ingrained with a fear of Socialism since childhood - whether you agree with it or not. Moreover, Americans over 50....who, you know, had to conduct nuclear attack drills in elementary school because of the Soviet Union...are the most active voters in the country.

It comes down to votes from the people who you just acknowledged have, since they were young, been taught that socialism is bad. You think thats easier to combat than some murky shyt that happened in a country that most Americans didnt even know existed until this Hunter Biden shyt came up?

Keep dreaming.

You're the one doing cute shyt. I've been telling y'all for years that Bernie just wasn't resonating with the black voters.

Yall kept showing us all these polls, talking about Killer Mike and C. West.

But here we are. And now you're asking the same disingenuous questions. Make the same dishonest assertions.

Disingenuous?

You didn't answer the question. You didn't even make an attempt to answer it.

Again, what does it mean to "have a relationship" and "connect" with black voters, since you're convinced Bernie's lack of this yet to be defined characteristic is what doomed him amongst a certain segment of the electorate.

And similarly in ways that Bernie doesn't have it, in what ways does Biden possess it?

That’s why that NotMeUs was just a dog whistle for don’t trust anyone but me.

Many but not all Bernie people didn’t realize how much they started acting like Trump voters. The same increase turnout in the base with verbal red meat. Snowflakes who complain about online harassment.

They became a lot of what they claimed they hated

Meh, I don't think many black people (older ones included) even like Biden like that.

What I think it comes down to is that a lot of older black folks just weren't convinced Bernie could beat Trump.

Lots of people have PTSD from 2016 and just don't want to take a chance, and black people have more to lose than most from another Trump term. Same thing that I think hurt Warren. I think the perception that she would lose against Trump hurt her way more than anything related to Medicare or being "Native American".
That’s what this is I think. I like Bernie and Elizabeth but we are in a Def Con 5 situation. I thought Bernie had a movement and it still may happen Biden hasn’t locked this down yet but what I’m seeing is people are terrified of Trump winning again...

I can’t blame them. This is Def Con 5 yo..

It's time to ask: does Sanders view black people as cogs of the democrat establishment? I see no other explanation for his dismissal of black voters. Or how he could lose in 2016 in large part due to having no presence in the south...then run it back and do the exact same thing this year. He refuses to play the game, to talk to people, to find common ground, to compromise, etc.

Jim Clyburn holds a famous fish fry every year in SC where potential presidential candidates attend to meet black power brokers. When was the last time Bernie went? He doesn't care. You can't win this shyt without friends. And you can't win when your main base (young people) STILL don't show up to vote.
Exactly dude is from Brooklyn NYC and makes you wonder why the fukk he moved all the way to Vermont
