biden doesn't lie to his base by promising ridiculous laws that wouldn't even pass his own party

you're aware that you're electing bernie president and not Supreme Leader, right? :mjlol:

and can you explain how bernie would beat trump in a general that includes republicans, if he cant beat biden in a primary with only democrats?
When you put it like this:picard:

He's not right.

Hillary put the hot sauce in her bag and won the Dem nomination.

You can't expect people to vote for you if you can't evenbe bothered to show up.

Writing it off as merely pandering is lazy.
The fact that Hillary won the black vote by pandering without real action just proves his point.

Any I've been very clear that Bernie bros not showing up is to blame for his failures, not southern black folks. Bernie should have tried to win them over, but I'm not gonna pretend like Democrats actually give a fukk about black people and he doesn't.

Yeah, they’re at home all day of course they do. That’s why election days should be holidays.
and people 30-65 are at work all day vs college kids and young people who may have more flexible schedules.

but agree, there needs to be one primary day (like the general) and make it a holiday

Are you assuming the black people he's meeting with aren't smart enough to gauge if a candidate is best aligned with their views and has a connection with them?
I feel like most people aren't smart enough to do their own research and just takes politicians at their word.

it's kind of a bizarre feedback loop, but the reason why there won't be a viable party outside of two party system is the same reason people still vote for establishment.

the fear of the unknown and clinging to status quo too much. certain candidates running just for strategic vote handling is kinda tiring

not even related to this primary, really. just overall. run everyone for primary and let popular vote decide :manny: this eliminates all these fukkery of voltron, party structure people wielding power, etc. put all people who actually wanna run, you got one chance to vote and everyone's on the same page

same reason why electoral college should be abolished
Obama won on hope and change, bernie shouldn't have ran as an "anti establishment " candidate instead focused on what change he can bring for the future of the party :manny:. Bernie has great ideas but the way he leads his cult like surrogates and supporters is extremely pisspoor

What a remarkably stupid post. You looked at data that said 64 percent of people who voted are over 45 and came away with this shyt. The largest demographic in this country is 24 to about 39. Does that group look proportionately represented to you?

45 is not a retirement age you imbecile. Those people are not sitting at home with nothing to do other than vote, they are working too.

And whose fault is it that the voting turnout numbers dont match the populace? Lets blame everything except the people who dont go vote. So because one segment of the populace cant be bothered to vote we now have to demonize the people who do still value the process? I just got back from voting so add another check in the 30-44 bucket.

I'm sorry, but turnout was up in 2018 and a lot of moderates won.

Turnout is up in 2020 and Biden is leading.

It seems the only thing we truly can take from 2016 is that Hillary Clinton is unlikable and also depresses turnout.
That’s why before there was any candidate for the Dems in 2016 the DNC should’ve gotten behind Biden period.. He would be in his 3rd year as President now

Us as a country. It's been going on for a long time and both parties suffer from it.

I think you're honed in on one issue which is "what can he do for x" while the voters are focused on "Am I comfortable with this person in the White House?".

I don't think your question is wrong but doesn't reflect the thinking behind the votes.

We gonna ignore that Bernie didn’t have his rivals dropping out and endorsing him like Biden did? You keep missing out that convenient fact. Biden wasn’t even competitive until Pete dropped out :russ:

Biden wasn't running for President back then, even though he probably should've. His son dying didn't put him in the right mental space.

If things were going normally, it should've been Romney vs Biden in 2016. :ld:

Well assuming no backstabbing from Liberal media and/or establishment Dems would give him a winning chance. The media was successful on Super Tuesday because it was Liberal media viciously attacking a Liberal candidate.

Some people were sitting at home watching the meltdown after Nevada thinking, well if Chris Matthews is this alarmed, maybe Bernie is too big of a risk and it's better to go with Joe.

That same voter wouldn't be moved by Sean Hannity or Fox News.

What we saw from the day results were announced in Nevada to Super Tuesday has to be one of the most effective dissemination of political propaganda that I have ever seen in my life. The shyt was relentless and fast and overwhelming.

Authoritarian regimes would be proud.
