I know this sort of common knowledge but on this pic its a comment that tells the entire story, wow

  • The whole thing started out Simple Cat brother Jr.Cat and a bunch of artist did a show and the promoter couldn’t pay the artist. So Jr. Cat met a nice looking girl didn’t have the money for hotel or a ride to get there. He borrowed money and the rental car. He crashed the car. The insurance didn’t cover him nor the car because he was not a authorize driver. Nitty Gritty alway had a hot temper . They met up at World Enterprise Records on Church Ave on a Friday. Sluggy R.I.P. and Nitty Gritty started a War with Jr.Cat about paying them back and of course Sluggy and Nitty Gritty became disrespectful . Nitty started threatening Jr.Cat life and Cat was not having it. Than Nitty started on Cat . Nitty pulled out his gun first ask anybody , THATS why Cat beat the case. Cat shot him sentenced him on the spot . Cat ran out jumped into his Benz and hide out till he contacted his Atty. This is not a conversation this is what happened Point Blank. If you think i am wrong Go to Super Power Records on Church off Utica and ask the Owner.

no it didn't derail it at all..in fact sad to say it HELPED HIS CAREER :manny:

...... columbia records used it as a MARKETING SCHEME when it was time to release the DON DADA lp...he shot and killed NITTY GRITTY in 91..his album came out in 92

prior to the release of this album he was just known as Supercat aka the Wild Apache cause of his east indian heritage..

but following the shooting ...he adopted the alias..."DON DADA" (top gangsta) :win:

and i'll be the first to admit it worked...cause i along with many young dancehall fans brought into the "street credibility" that Cat had established along with being on the King Addies "killing machine" soundsystem roster and running with the Spangler Posse and his OG's Eric Vasell of the Gullymen crew &b Skeng Don from the PNP

All this helped solidify him as the one true "gangsta" amongst all the musical rudebwois and shottas in dancehall music ..

that's why when him and Bounty Killa was beefing ....and Killa realized Cat was taking this "personal" instead of "artistic"...

he backed down :whoa:
