The scene is arguably one of the stupidest scenes in a modern comic book movie. He knows his son is invulnerable and can move at profound speeds yet tells him to get to safety. Meanwhile his old ass that can barely move and is as fragile as tissue paper goes and gets the dog. And they say this film is a masterpiece.![]()

This idiot Snyder made a dog the emotional center piece

He could've had him risk his life saving Martha or even that toddler. Nah, he's going back for an animal who immediately bailed on his ass the second he opened the car door

Just carry the kid, get Martha, and let Clark go for the dog. He wouldn't even need to reveal his powers. To add insult to injury Martha is yelling and Clark says "Mom stay here." Yeah, she needed to stay there but your impervious ass didn't

I'm convinced once Pa Kent got outta the car with that gimpy ankle he realized he goofed and told Clark to stay back so he could hold L and die of embarrassment

Why did they even leave the dog in the car in the first place? Oh because they realized in an emergency human lives are more important than a dog's which makes him going back for the dog even dumber
