I had read it a couple times around twitter and elsewhere by these comic movie "insiders" that typical have decent info on these movies

it might not be as pronounced as I had thought though and perhaps they just removed the title cards naming the day of the week that was being chronicled and not the overall structure?

as I understand "world of reel" is considered a reliable source, they also reported that Gunn cut out some of his trademark "humor" based on uneven reactions from early screenings

maybe these changes are normal, but it all seems rather close to the movies release for me :yeshrug:

I do think cutting down on the humor would be a good move though, esp after we saw it really dumb down a movie like Thor: Love & Thunder. You want some laughs, but it shouldnt be a major tone setter in these movies IMO

ATLEAST THE TEST RUNS
FORCED HIM TO GET RID
OF SOME OF THE HUMOR

If you believe the other insider, as far as the days of the week shyt, seems like it's nothing to be worried about.

I couldve swore that danielrpk dude, who this rumor started on, got called out by James Gunn himself before, for spreading lies.

yeah that would be rather minor then I suppose, I saw that response and had in my comments. It does sound like they trimmed out some other things as well based on early screenings, I suppose thats pretty normal though? Or is it? Overall, I trust Gunn here and have generally liked what Ive seen in trailers

Is stuff getting trimmed/cut/changed normal? Yea it's pretty standard for the industry from my understanding. Now if you heard shyt like you did about Captain America movie or that FatWS show(apparently a major plot got changed for the show), that's when you should worry. Or shyt like what happened with Snyder/Whedon on Justice League or Gilroy having to come "fix" Rogue One.

I said after the first trailer that it looked a little too cartoonish. Some of the CG in this new trailer looking like Spy Kids:huhldup:

That guy getting punched and breaking the 4th wall with the teeth hitting the camera was the type of silly stuff I didn't want Gunn to do. That's a Looney Tunes level gag:snoop:
I hope that’s just a taste :noah: bring the camp, pluck, zany and bonkers Gunn :ahh:

I remember liking slither a lot too. I wonder if the GotG "gunn's comedy" shyt was just watered down or w/e because of Disney. Comedy was alright in in Suicide Squad too iirc.

I'm sure it was made to be more kid friendly because of who the target audiences were and I'd expect some of that in here but this also appears to be a little bit more serious as well. Maybe more like 'GOTG vol. 3' was...
