Yup, the point Lois was trying to make was that Clark giving himself fluff interviews made him unprepared to answer tough questions and that he wasn’t really thinking about the consequences of his actions.

I'm far from the only person to bring this up. Many Superman fans are upset about the Jor-El message being real and the implications that has. That's why James Gunn was asked about it in the interview.

Check YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit, and you'll see that many Superman fans don't like the change.

Is what it is. I doubt it is about conquest but they know sending their son to a universe with the yellow sun will make him physically superior than anyone else. I doubt they know earth politics or think we are even advanced to do it properly. Having Kal El rule over us is probably seen and a win-win for both parties to them

I saw it in the same way people interpret the Bible’s language in multiple ways

We have dominion on the fish, birds, and living creatures. Some people don’t think that mean dump your pollution into fresh lakes and skies. Others think it means yeah our consideration come before all other creatures.

Nothing Jor-el says is beyond what could be considered for someone thinking their child would be “above” all other life. Jor-el didn’t know Green Lanterns and Metaphoros would exist.

The box office in the U.S. and the Postrak analysis and letterboxd, etc. are what determines whether a movie has good word of mouth here or not. You're saying "many" Superman fans are up in arms over the change to his parents and I'd need to see more evidence than "look at what some YouTubers are saying" to say that's an accurate statement.

I agree, I like the concept of the Lois interview scene but for someone that is supposed to be 30 and with a career as a journalist he came across as very naïve and him being on duty for only 3 years is a weak excuse.

That was the perfect scene to have Superman show off his journalistic skills.

Have him drop facts that you can tell he's dug up about the nation and leader to counter what Lois was saying.

Instead you get - "You know that's very silly!" "you believe them of all people?" "they're not well intentioned!"

All Lex really had to do was get this Superman to be interviewed and he would have folded
