Am I trippin or did they straight jack the people turning on Superman from Pootie Tang All the way down to the video of the young breh saying how he supported him from the beginning and now he can go to hell? I just got around a watching it and the similarities are uncanny.

Watched this on Max the other day and yeah this shyt just doesn't have the replay value I thought it might have. Sometimes when I see a movie in the theater that I thought was just ok I tend to like it more on second watch but this shyt is just lame overall. I could barely finish it. I still hate that stupid suit and Lois is ugly lmao..the movie also looks cheap from the city to the people who live in it...idk this just isn't it. I bring it down from 6.5 to a 5. Mid.

This is basically it. When I said earlier in this thread James Gunn gets Superman this is what I was trying to get at. Supes is a wholeheartedly, genuine, good person, who happens to be an alien from another planet.

Goku, Luffy from One Piece, John Cena, they come off corny but that’s what good people with little ego in over the top universes usually present as.

It's not that nobody realized - it's that nobody cared.

The Engineer had no personality and generic ass, do-whatever-the-plot-needs powers. Nobody was checking for her and even the biggest fans of the movie never mentioned her.

The fact that Gunn thinks anyone cares about what happened to a character like her doesn't bode well for future plans. Instead, he should spend time on crafting an interesting Metallo, Braniac, etc. This one was a swing and a miss.
