113 people is not 85% of the board, most people probably didn’t bother voting. Besides that is irrelevant as it boils down to if people bothered to support “Snyder verse” and which each movie the box office was a reflection of people’s disinterest.



You have to remember BVS couldn’t even crack a billion in their first big screen outing together where in you had C list Iron man doing a billy easily. Snyder put out trash after trash and his fanboys made excuse after excuse as to why his movies kept underperforming. Snyder was not the man to craft a cinematic universe and based on his recent comments about Batman it further highlights that he doesn’t understand the characters.

At that time dc really just care about the rouge gallery. This time around they actually seem like they want to make an effort to actually use their source material. Mid 2000s movies just had that certain feel especially x men movies

Or it’s a case of deranged Snyder cultist bothering with the shytty poll while the rest can’t even be bothered to vote. On a whole the populace voted with their wallet and are a reflection of how people felt about Snyders trashy films. In a situation where Ironman pulls in more money than Batman V Superman and the last two Batman movies prior pulled in more money than a joined Superman V Batman movie you know there is a problem.



The general consensus was that people did not like those movies, they were critically panned and underperformed every single time . Yet I am meant to believe because 113 people on the coli voted that the movies are viewed positively by general movie goers and it’s just a small minority that didn’t enjoy the movie on account of not being able to get over the Christopher Reeve films.

And btw, the audience scores for 'Man of Steel' were also positive... every audience metric there is. And more critics praised it than panned it. Lol. It was 'divisive' among critics, not panned.

Revisionist history. They gave Snyder the keys to their "universe" and they wanted him to get right to 'Batman v. Superman' instead of leading with origin stories for the characters. He had plans for 'Man of Steel 2' but the execs at the time, who have since been fired long ago, wanted to fast-track the universe because of how much money Marvel was now making on team ups.

I didn't say Snyder, I said "they". MoS was such as "success" that WB retired the idea of a sequel. We both agree on that.


The fact that Snyder decided to follow up MoS with BvS, further b*stardizing Superman, just to kill him off, is all on Snyder. Nobody made him do that.

I am confused is this sarcasm? Because if it is I have got news for you that’s just an established fact. And like fillerguy said if these movies were as good as you all like to delude yourselves that they are then the reset button wouldn’t have been hit. Also as I said if a movie containing two of the most popular superheroes in their first big screen outing can’t crack a billion when Batman in the last two films he was in prior to BVS did that on his own…well I think the audience is speaking plain and clearly. Based on the opening weekend box office for the film you can see the initial interest was there then the drop off occurred because of bad word of mouth.

The problem with the movies wasn’t because Batman was in them but the overall handling of the characters and story beat were just poorly executed and that can’t be attributed to “studio interference”. Also it’s on record that Snyder himself has stated he was the first person to bring up Batman and the studio rolled with it. The genius that is Snyder decided to kill Superman in his second appearance within this new verse, he killed Jimmy Olsen after 5 minutes on screen all for shock value. He also went with an older jaded Batman all because he had a hard on for Frank Millers TDKR. Not to mention several people in these movies were severely miscast .
