Agreed. I don’t know shyt about Krypto, but Im guessing he has superpowers of his own. He should know Superman is basically dying and its not the time to play.

Yeah I was so puzzled by that, they should call him master Kal-El or Kal-El. A sweet scene would be them calling him master Kal-El and him saying either Clark is fine or Kal-El is fine. That would be a very Superman thing to do. They now need to start marketing for this instead of the teasing they have been doing. They need to drop a trailer that will blow people away like the initial teaser.
Yes, Krypto is a Kryptonian dog. Basically an Earth-like dog but with Kryptonian superpowers.
Despite his powers his still essentially a dog, initially he was excited to see his master but when Clark gives him an order he eventually complies. All indications from what Gunn has said he is still essentially like a puppy and is a bit (untrained as of yet) guessing the dog might have an arc. You are right in the sense that it does undermine the seriousness of a hurt Superman but it doesn’t seem like the scene is dragged on to long.

Watched that clip five times dam I love how Gunn has embraced the fantastical element of the comics. I know this will confuse a lot of critics who have never read a Superman comic in their life.
