I was hoping the next trailer would change my mind about how this movies will end up but so far this shyt looks mid af. Almost looks like a made for TV film. Dude playing supes is kinda lame. Idk. As long as the superman fans are happy right.

Bro still ain't really doing it for me as Clark/Supes just yet but I'll still reserve judgment to fully make up my mind when the total project hits

How is DC "cooked" if Superman is a hit?

Cuz they ain't building no equity aside from a possible new Supes trilogy or sum shyt.

Aint nobody finna run & watch a Krypto standalone movie cuz Supes might've been dope

My only doubt is Nicholas Hoult as Lex, Rachel Brosnahan seems to have nailed Lois and I wouldn't be surprised if she's the standout in the film

Well, they aren't making a standalone Krypto movie, so yeah...

Anyway, Superman's success is literally the entire foundation of the DCU. If it's a hit (financially and critically), DC will have the basis for an entire live-action universe for the next decade plus. That's huge.

But just seems to be a lot of conflicting reports in the directions they're going no matter how this movies does. On one hand, Gunn seemingly will have free reign in constructing a universe and then on the other hand, you got The Batman going on, and then there will be other DC standalone movies etc.

It's fairly simple to me. There is the mainline DCU universe (Superman, Supergirl, etc.) and then non-DCU projects (which is what The Batman is).

Just like how not all Marvel projects are connected to the MCU. Not all DC projects will be connected to the DCU.

I think he's been pretty clear that there's the main DCU and then the Elseworlds projects that are outside of that.

1st half of the trailer was strong then it did go downhill.

You can’t have Superman intervene in wars unless you’re doing a Homelander/Omni Man Stoyline where the Superman is the villain of the story and taking over


Because why would he stop at one war when NOBODY can stop him?
