Just left the theater.

I miss Man of Steel, it’s the superior Superman movie by far.
I think this guy is a better Superman

And I like the overall universe except the Justice Gang being jokes

But yeah, they were doing too much.

At times felt like I was watching a Transformers movie after the first one but not as bad.

So I get not doing an origin story. But at the same time, as a non-comic person, I really didn't get to know these supporting characters. Like I know Mr. Terrific from "Arrow". But here it was like I have no connection to him, Hawk, Green Lat. He should did some type of building of these characters. Now, with Lois and Krypto, Luthor it worked fine.

Now, the Superman direction. I'm open to what he wants to do. Sorta like Nolan and Batman Begins. But this didn't convice me that it's about to be the new leader over Marvel. The action was cool near the middle end. But this clearly wasn't his point. He really wanted this flawed human with superpowers.

I was glad this wasn't a goofy film though. Because that opening backstory was corny. But luckily that wasn't the tone.
Marvel is so trash now this will win by default

Idk how they do Batman or Wonder Woman in this universe

Unless they're jokes too

Man I really dont like Gunn now lol

THIS IS ONE OF MY ISSUES.

IT DIDN'T FLOW TOGETHER LIKE A MOVIE AT ALL

Yeah

The Engineer was barely a character

Ultraman is a clone at the last minute

It had cool moments but when its so many ppl with not enough focus shyt doesnt hit as hard as it could

His parents were an afterthought too

Eh they’re probably tryna put the lesser names on. If Gunn can make a racc00n a superstar, breh can make Isabela Merced a superstar

It also blends in well with the Batman series trying to uplift lesser villains. Their sequel that’s coming out 2045 will prob feature Mr Freeze, but some people think they’ll can go lower rung than that

Yeah, it’s weird. I hated this movie but I trust Gunn to steer this in a good direction.
I thought it was good but I wasn’t super in love with it. Supes is just boring to me - DC can get so dark with the litany of names they have, I don’t need a by the book straight faced Superman joint. I’m sure they’ll get to the movies where he’s pushed more morally in the future tho. I trust Gunn too
