But I don't think Gunn knows what to do with Batman because Matt Reeves went ahead and made the Batman that we been deserving for decades.

Reeves batman was mid. Not better than Nolans. The Dark Knight is the greatest DC movie ever still.

Actually I don’t think it’s fair to say Superman here was straight faced. He showed a lot more hurt and struggle than you’d get in alot of hero depictions. He just doesn’t get in the mud as much as I want out of a hero, which is what makes him Superman at the end of the day

It's nothing like 'Batman Forever'

The tone is camp and serious, not over the top camp like Batman & Robin.

I'm afraid Gunn would make Batman 60s style to troll us...lmao...you never know.

But yeah, they were doing too much.

At times felt like I was watching a Transformers movie after the first one but not as bad.

The fight scenes in MoS is what I miss really. I like Gunn and I trust his vision. He's got my money for one more movie at least. I hope the next one knocks it out of the park.

That said, I don’t think I’d ever see Superman again but I’ve seen MoS dozens of times. And I hate Superman as a character; Snyder just knows how to make bombastic action like no other.

Sure... but the scripts are worlds apart. The script and the acting in 'Superman' was way better.

The final act of MoS along with that Zimmer score is certainly one of the greatest endings of a CBM. Supes has to defeat the World Engine, fight Zod, and save Lois and the entire planet in a matter of minutes.... No quips or extra heroes dancing all up in the video, just Supes putting in work.
