Ok.....he didn't come as close as killing Batman but even she said if she didn't find a way to stop him he was going to kill her. Superman was too fast to get the lasso around to break the mind control. He already broke her wrist, almost threw her in the sun, knocked her out of orbit, and was on his way to finish the job. She did take advantage of his super hearing and vulnerability to magic to buy herself enough time to reach Maxwell Lord and put the lasso around him to break the mind control. But even Wonder Woman was afraid that she couldn't stop him. And everything she did only slowed him down.

But you're right. He didn't almost kill her. She just thought he would if she couldn't stop him.

Lex Luthor wants to kills Superman and actually uses prep time to come up with ways to kill Superman yet fails time and again. Batman is just Lex Luthor in spandex with some martial arts training so anyone thinking Batman has a shot in hell of beating Superman needs to just cut the bullshyt.

He still should be able to dodge that.

The problem with Kryptonite is that writers and filmmakers are wild inconsistent when it comes to how it affects Superman. sometimes it just makes him weak, other times it nearly kills him. Sometimes he's shown as being helpless when around it other times he can muster up the strength to get it away from him or do amazing things while affected by it.

yeah it can be EXTREMELY plot device-ish.

Early in the Batman/Superman comic, Supes shot what looked like Kingdom Come Superman in the chest with a shard of kryptonite from a shotgun. No, I don't have any idea how that's possible. Yes, I'm aware that it's a comic book. But it killed KC Supes, apparently.

I swear I can remember a black dude named Bloodsport shooting superman with a gun that fired KRYPTONITE NEEDLES and Superman lived through it. I think this was like early in the Man of Steel reboot after the OG Crisis. edit: http://www.comicvine.com/bloodsport/4005-26702/ I can't find a pic of th shooting (remember it from reading old DC Who's Who comic), but I remember it was a big ass Cable style gun.

Meanwhile, Crime Syndicate Atom just took a piece of kryptnoite, shrank down and put it DIRECTLY ON SUPERMAN'S BRAIN and not only did it not kill him, but he did NOT feel/hear her doing it! And it sat there for the WHOLE CROSSOVER. AND HE LIVED.

*note : I know you know this, but I'm assuming there are posters in this thread that don't. :heh:

Actually that KC superman from Loeb's book didn't die, he appeared later in that series acting like nothing happened to him.

You do realize that the reason no one carries kryptonite around them at all times s because it's radioactive, right. Caused Lex Luthor to lose a hand when he had a kryptonite ring.

now knowing this, PLEASE tell me the chances of Batman randomly carrying around red or green kryptonite :stopitslime:.

":sadbron: but but what about PREP TIME!?"
I'm pretty sure there's an escape plan in place if Superman ever actually runs up on him and when he gets back to that batcave :whew:

Yeah
It's funny how desperate Superman stans are to prove their overpowered cookie-cutter alien idol can beat Batman.

Batman doesn't even need prep time to beat Superman. :pachaha:
Reading that blog post oozed with hatred for bats eventho he states he "loves batman".

It was like the equivalent to reading a racist person about to announce things that hate about black people but before they say it they say

"just note I have black friends and I love Kanye west but...."

If you're not the Flash or Shazzam there aint shyt you can do if Superman runs up on you.

Superman doesn't even have to be on the fukking planet to kill Batman, he could vaporize him from space.
