This is what I was gonna say.... yes in big cities like NY,Chicago LA etc there aren't any orchards or tomato fields....but illegal immigrants are definately in full competition for landscaping, trucking, delivery, construction and contract work...and believe it or not, many of them have ZERO interest in becoming legal residents because they know that they can skate the system by remaining below the radar to avoid licensing requirements and paying income tax.

I use to work as a social worker for alot of these families and they all had it set up...these men would work jobs illegally and collect their payments in cash...have kids, who technically qualified for welfare (food stamps, healthcare, cash assistance program etc) while they pocketed all of their income. They had it MADE.

The only time I’ve ever been in competition with illegals is when I worked shytty ass low wage jobs trying to survive. Once I got educated and found better opportunities, magically I don’t see anymore illegals except when I request more hand soap and paper towels in the bathroom at work.

It’s amazing to me that a group that’s been here since the beginning of time is competing with a group of uneducated fruit pickers and housekeepers. Have some respect for yourself. Black folks should be figuring out how they’re going to compete against cacs, Asians, and Africans. Everyone else is getting theirs while we’re worried about illegals.

Yeah I don't think any reasonable people support illegal immigration but at the same time, black Americans shouldn't be in a position where they are having to compete with them. They should be given better opportunities throughout grade school years that will propel to better succeed with a state provided ride for a professional trade or a state provided ride for at least a 2 year college degree. Ironically, the idiots ready to jump on dems necks can probably be sourced backing Republicans that only seek to weaken the public education system, and there is hardly a Republican alive that would ever vote on free college, let along free college for black Americans.

How many damn times do we need to tell people this? Illegals are coming for working class jobs. I know this personally because jobs I used to do when I first started out are now all done by illegals.

Out here in Kansas, college kids used to go work the grain harvests over the summer and have enough money saved to pay for college that year. Those jobs are all done by illegals now.

On top of that they drive wages down in to the dirt.

I think what has helped me is actually living in a community that is 90% black, and being a manufacturing engineer at one point and time, I was actually on the production floor interacting with those who, at the time, are really impacted by issues like this.

Not all of us can have these top notch jobs. Some of us need to really start from the bottom, and those jobs need to be there for us. Some brehs need that janitorial job, so they can eventually work themselves up to office manager of the company. Some brehs have to start at the poultry plant to realize the shyt isn’t for them, and let me go ahead and get this cdl. Point is, these jobs need to be available and we as a group shouldn’t be so quick to look down on them.

That's the problem right there, thinking anyone owes you something because ancestors put in work. White people have continuously shown they don't care, and why should they? They have their own mortality to worry about with their dwindling birth rate and low marriage rates.

Black people need to get it together. Start seeing each other as a community and solve their problems. It all starts from education and preparedness. If these jobs are open, do we have the skills or education required to put us in position to claim them?

The import of skilled workers is necessary. They tick all of the boxes required to maintain the infrastructure of the country. No one owes you anything. If you want reparations for example, start training generations to go into politics. Fill up congress. Same thing with education, fill the boards and schools. The problem is black people operate without a clear goal of where they want to be as a group.
