Dude...I'm still heated by how the industry did MJ during Invincible. Dude gave us a R and B album but folks threw him in the bushes because he didn't drop those "have you seen my childhood" ass songs.

MJ always dropped an album each "era" to give his spin on music of the time. From disco to New jack swing. Damn shame

Who knew that the dude with the mask on, and 2 machetes in his hand, in the Method Man video would be the catalyst of a Wu renaissance and the face of the Wu for damn near 2 decades? Dropped 2 classics in a row to start his solo career and, imo, still hasn't dropped a dud yet. Ghost is like Manna from Heaven for Hip Hop fans :blessed:

Yeah, that nikka was dusted out of his mind doing that shyt. That PCP will have a nikka in another world. I know nikkas who've done that shyt and NEVER been right after the fact :wow:

But yeah, it was suppose to go alongside his Bobby Digital movie

:russ:

See these were the years it started to fall apart. You could tell RZA thought he was bigger than the Wu. I know he put the group together but it wasn't like he was ever mentioned when nikkas named their favorite members

If I remember correctly, Ghost was the biggest inspiration behind the direction of the 36 Chambers album. Dude has a unique creative mindset toward music, its not even funny.

All those legal issues definitely held him back at first but when Cuban Linx dropped dude finally started coming into his own

He's definitely part of the Wu hierarchy. That's why he's credited as an executive producer on damn near all their early group sh!t. Him, RZA, Power and Divine.

You could tell RZA thought he was bigger than the Wu.

I think it's the other way around, dudes thought they were bigger than Rza. He gave them ALL the shine and niccaz still aggy they had to wait in line for Rza beats.

Dude is a doper MC himself than half the group so it's amazing what he gave them.

Rae my nikka but he's the epitome of that shyt, he talks about Rza like we haven't heard the albums he made without Rza's involvement :scust:(except for Shaolin vs Wu)

Yup. But you know what, I think he had kinda gotten fed up with them. Remember when he said they was all getting into it during that tour with Rage Against The Machine in 97'. I think after that he was just kinda like "fukk it", I'mma do me since these nikkas done got all big headed and shyt. Cause before that, he let them shine mostly while he just kinda played the background.

Yup he partly funded 36 Chambers. It's all in Rza's books. This is why I laugh when casuals say the Wu fell of because of fighting, Rza and Ghost been fighting since Protect Ya Neck.

"not long is how long that this rhyme took me...so there it is yo fukk it" was Ghost talking to Rza because Rza forced him into the booth to get his verse done on time or some shyt like that.

That's why Rza comes in right after with "chill with the feedback black we don't need that"

They were livingtogether for years before 36 chambers and Ghost has a kid by Rza sister so they're literally related now.
