Of course Clarence Thomas led the dissenting opinion :deadrose:

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote that the decision forces “Alabama to intentionally redraw its longstanding congressional districts so that black voters can control a number of seats roughly proportional to the black share of the State’s population. Section 2 demands no such thing, and, if it did, the Constitution would not permit it.”

First Ballot Hall of Fame c00n. Truly a Jordan-esque performance his entire judicial career

You have this wrong.

Clyburn is the ONLY elected democrat in South Carolina. That’s why he did that. Either they completely remove his seat OR he negotiates with republicans to save his seat.

This is how reality works. Talking shyt on YouTube and Twitter about black politicians is one thing but IN REALITY he’s the only one that can win AND hold that seat

What this really means is that the US house may be actually in control by democrats because republicans have tried to remove black elected districts.

I keep saying this. Critics of democrats DO NOT know what they’re talking about.
So it's cool in his situation :heh:
