hilarious that we literally have THOUSANDS of laws in place protecting children; but for making a kid wait until he's 18 to do something as extreme as cut his dikk off, you would classify that as "republicans being on bullshyt", because the Democrats are perceived as taking a loss here

No, I don't think kids should transition as soon as possible. Trans stuff is still generally labeled as a mental health issue in our healthcare system. Addressing it starts with therapy in 99.9% of cases. Getting approved for permanent medical surgeries as a child is rare, it's not like kids are getting their dikks cut off by the tens of thousands.
This is not some new thing, it's literally been around since Egypt and Greek/Roman eras. The phenomena of increased trans rates among children does not surprise me because of how we incentivize identity-based descriptions, and how that ties into children (and adults) seeking attention. But you would be a fool to argue children cannot have ADHD because some children mimic those behaviors in order to garner attention or avoid things they dislike (school). The same thing is happening here: the more identities you can acquire, the more privilege you acquire in our current online society. A lot of these people fall out of this stuff later in their teenage years. Which is why permanent things like surgery should be avoided in most cases.
In short the question isn't whether trans kids exist. They do. The question is why is our online society bleeding into the real world, how do you remove the incentives that increase this, and how lenient can medical providers be without being too lenient.

there's far more of them, than there are kids who are actually mentally ill. don't you think the math would make sense, to just make them all wait until they're 18, to engage in such drastic behavior? like we do with countless other issues involving kids?
i don't even care about this issue, past the extent to which it's damaged the Democrats' image. but the constant assault on common sense from this lobby is nauseating, and the fact that Dems are just expected to defend whatever insane nonsense they trot out on a weekly basis....when is enough, enough?
