No its just selfishness sorta. You not gonna get a parent to choose to keep the kid in a bad school over an immediate solution like vouchers.

This issue is 100 times more complicated than the typical discussion, especially because the parents and kids are stuck between two intractable positions.

A lot of these vouchers are used by Black folks in cities with shytty districts to send their kids to parochial schools. They don't have the luxury to wait for 10 years hoping their city/state/school board/legislature enacts a more equitable school funding mechanism.
