Speaking of the fans south of the border, they booed Vikingo and cheered Del Rio at Triplemania. :heh:
Vikingo is looked at as the corporate, chosen one champ that was forced on them by some gringos and then WWE treated them all like a bunch of dumbasses by spoiling the title change earlier in the week on Raw.

Bbbbbut AEW only has one sided relationships that benefit itself why would it make a venue owned by CMLL look absolutely fukking iconic on their worldwide television platform?
AEW gave a well known luchador a moment of his own and respected the talent of CMLL. While in WWE Iguana Man got over on his own. :skip:

And after just one WWE show they are snatching up Iguana and now sounds like Psycho Clown to stash them on NXT/main roster and thus seemingly take them out of Mexico. And likely getting rid of Alberto who the fans actually like. And obviously we all know Vikingo isn’t long for AAA at this point, but the fans hate him now so they might actually like that.

Still early into the show, what a great atmosphere and vibe, seems to be using the Arena Mexico production crew and shyt looks so cool and fun. Also using that stiff as fukk lucha ring :mjlol:

AEW been visiting and learning at Arena Mexico all year apparently - afaik the show was them.
Mistico was arguably the biggest name in Mexico before he went to the WWE.
idk if it's even arguable.

For the brehs unaware - this is the song he came out to -

When this song first dropped it went #1 in Mexico for months and broke records. Mistico was already a star before this song but his association with it helped him cross that line from big LUCHA star to generational icon.

Yeahhhh man when they Wayans were on…They were ON!

In Living Color
Dont Be a Menace
Wayans Bros
Scary Movie 1
Scary Movie 2
White Chicks
My Wife & Kids

All classics :wow:

Even Little Man had its moments, Which is why I cant understand why Marlon and Damon/Damon jr shows were so trash :mjcry:

I suspect it's because they got all the newer generation Wayans writing on those shows. Bunch of silver spoon kids.

Wrestling is about feelings and this show was spine-tingling at times.

Mistico's entrance. I was not ready. American TV needed to see that and Sin Cara slander will never be tolerated ever afukkingain. Great match that probably should've main evented tbh.

Mercedes and Zeuxis could've gone last too. Felt a bit short, but they put on a good show and Mercedes looked fire. If anyone has complaints about Mercedes belt-collecting just wind your brains forward a few months... you win titles so you can lose titles. Her eventual humbling is going to make careers round the world.

Hanger Spanish promo :leon: and making the save for Swerve :leon:

Four way was brilliant. Tag matches were brilliant. The Arena looked and SOUNDED brilliant (please copy their mic setup CMLL).

The entrances that used the steps looked so good, but I low-key preferred the setup on Tuesday's show where there was a camera at the top of the stairs they could mug to before turning to the crowd.

Overall, nobody does this kind of thing like AEW.

WWE could absolutely put on a show this entertaining, but the warmth for the wider wrestling culture comes through so strongly in AEW and it's because it's run by a fukking mark, let's be honest.

Some of these shows feel like love letters to the various flavours of wrestling and if you manage to hate that whilst calling yourself a wrestling fan you probably shouldn't be left unsupervised with kids and pets.:hubie:
This is what I love about AEW, too. The positivity about wrestling, all styles, from everywhere in the world, and supporting it all instead of trying to monopolize the industry and hurt smaller promotions, and being too embarrassed to even say the word wrestling for 25 years.
