The problem with relapse/refill was that he stuck to that generic song structure; 3 verse and a corny ass hook between all of them. His shock value stuff wasn't really that great; sounded like he was trying too hard most of the time. That, and, like all his albums since SSLP, it's too long.
It had some good tracks though; Ganja/Deja Vu/Beautiful and, of course, Recovery had "So Bad", which I thought was dope as fukk, even if he was screaming his ass off.
I personally don't mind if Em occasionally comes with struggle bars; just as long as he gets the overall feel of the song right. Those snippets from the ads sound bring as fukk, so I have zero expectations for his next album.
If I learn the Bass Brothers are involved though, that might change some things.
