Surprisingly, this is the best explanation towards Eminem in 2013

fukk what these nikkas talmbout relapse/refill was crack...I probably listen to it more than any I ever will any album not named MMLP, and while it's certainly not as creative, or nostalgic it's probably got the best overall beat package and shows a real evolution in his rhymes...he revisited similar content/concepts but songs like 3 AM and a lot of rhymes from that little time period were really new flows and techniques that don't even really need to be compared to his old shyt.

stay wide awake

all of these "relapse was wack" ass nikkas need to shut the fukk up...period. There was nothing wack about that album...it was bars covered in accents.

Stop... No..
Relapse is better then Encore though, that was terrible.

Relapse is an unbelievable album.

I hate to be the type to say you just didn't get it...but sorry...you didn't. The concept behind that was genius. It took an article and about 20 minutes to reading and I got it. If you like music as just entertainment and don't take it that serious..then yeah I can't fault you for not liking it. If music really interests you...then that album is almost great.

No, it's not better than The Eminem show. Aside from the hooks on that album, it was top notch. His production included because it fit, surprising enough.

He is still a good rapper but what he is rapping about is either murder or a personal topic we heard many times over by now.

Which rapper has a lot of variety in their music? Really.

Does Eminem talk about his go-to topic more than any other rapper does with their go-to topic?

Eminem is not the typical rapper. Since he's white (sucks to be him), he can't really fabricate shyt about typical rap topics...so he has to do the opposite and talk about his life. When some complain about that, he'll write conceptual story telling songs (murder, rape etc.)...but then some complain about that too. He's got the least to work with.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I remember when I heard "Not Afraid" for the first time, I was thinking "Em, don't apologize for Relapse. If you're going to apologize for anything at all, then please apologize for that wack ass Encore album."

He ripped that album and played the character well. You all who actually adore old Em albums are the true suspect dudes as he's always been a schlocky, skill MC. Relapse is all schlock and skill. And he didn't shout on it.

Accent Em > Angry Em

Underrated? Yes, for the reasons you described. Best? Not at all :comeon: not as good as Marshall Mathers LP or The Eminem Show. But definitely one of his better albums

Relapse is good but Stay Wide Awake is one of the most overrated songs on Hamster to The Coli ...

I've enjoyed the enjoyable parts on Encore more than I enjoyed Recovery as a whole when that came out. With Recovery he turned into the ridiculous pop star he always spit on in his earlier years. I would never place Relapse over his first 3 albums, but most def over Recovery.

Nas does. Tupac does. Ice Cube does. Common does. shyt even guys like Saigon and Joe Budden do.

What do you mean he can't fabricate shyt about typical rap topics? He has more money than 95% of Hip Hop. I am sure he has plenty of groupies. He did the whole pretend to be gangsta already when he first was down with 50. He can rap about anything else. What makes you think him pretending to be a murderer is any different than pretending to be a thug?
