.... I'm trying to fathom this. Apparently the connotation that one is/likely is/could be Black coooned about 6% of Afro-Latinos....
Unless it's just a cultural misunderstanding, or just cultural outlook maybe.

There was no one-drop rule in Latin America, at least not one that was nearly codified like the U.S., so they would rather dilute into many smaller pieces......it's interesting.........

The AA part of me says they are Unconsciously Coooning, the more Anthropological side of me says, it's just their culture.....

As there is more crossover between AAs, Caribbean people, and Afro-Latinos, and even Africans in the Western Hemisphere, I wonder what perception of African Blackness will prevail more?

It's that they may idenify with their African lineage, and do not deny that, but they don't consider themselves black. If they're mixed (with more white than black), they may consider themselves white or just mixed. It goes back to slavery and the fukkery the Portugese and Spaniards did, to the point where some even simply refer themselves as "Spanish". Unlike the British, they didn't hide the fact that they were impregnating slaves because they wanted to weaken to the bloodline. That's literally where the term "improve the race" comes from. They wanted blackness to cease to exist. Hence the ruling class of Creoles from French Louisiana, except after the Code Noir, the British still enforced the one drop rule. For the Spaniards/Portugese it was more like the reverse one drop rule.

afro latinos need to only check hispanic.....they don't check black because: black = African-American to most of them......... They're not doing it due to self hate, rather cultural affiliation....

So what? Why are some of you so determined to make people claim they're black? Most of these "afro-latinos" are mixed. I mean its one thing if you're latino and black as fukk saying you're white, but a lot of these "afro latinos" are so mixed up that saying they're black is just as wrong as saying they're white. Its also important to remember that the one drop rule doesn't exist in South America.

There's no irony in those statements. The latter statement is proof Hispanics are invading the country and turning it into their own little shytholes. In the end blacks lose. Vote Trump.

Now that I think about it, many of the cops accused and charged with abusing or killing blacks are Hispanic too. Hispanics are overrepresented in police brutality cases.
