The best defense against a charge of slander is the truth.

He isn't suing shyt. This television show is nothing compared to the scrutiny of a trial. A discovery motion--which would surely be forthcoming in any legal case--would kick over a massive rock covering all of R. Kelly's past misdeeds; every hush settlement, every shady contract.

His best bet is to lay low, take his lumps, change his name to something like "Robert K." as a clean break with the past, and stop hanging around junior high schools.
