Europe, Canada, and dumb rednecks

Here in Canada, PPV's were 18 bucks at the theater until the Network took over. But I think the theater was still showing Survivor Series as their last WWE PPV before they gave PPVs the :camby:. So I'm guessing people dropped that 18 bucks because it's Sunday, and why not?

That's not surprising at all

People don't buy the network, either cause they aint enough content for even 9.99 or (and I think this is the big reason) they do not promote or raise awareness about it outside of WWE programming itself.

Conversely you got local cable operators that will still run ad's for PPVs and casual fans will cop cause its a traditionally big 4 event plus you got Canada and the UK and there you have it

It makes me think that's why Coke Boy doesn't really wanna promote the network outside of WWE programming cause he don't wanna lose a bulk of causal to pay high price.

He's just gotta be honest with the investors or should have done what was suggested and split some PPVs as network exclusives and others as still events that you can still only buy on PPV. That mirage of rushing out and buying everything for $10 was a bit unrealistic.

Where is the gimmick response of the Subscriber effect..any recent Network numbers? It was last at 730k, right?

Wonder how many were from Canada.

Even though we still dont have the Network, we have this WWE Netpack bullshyt that Rogers Cable offered for now. As far as content its garbage but its 11.99 and the PPVs are included.

According to their Q3 report, only 28,000 of the 731,000 Network subscribers are international (there are probably people in Europe and Canada signed up to the Network with a VPN, but still). :scust:

Rogers must've paid them really well, cause I'm sure they wanted more than 28,000 subscribers in Canada alone

The problem was the 6-month commitment.

You can bet alot of ppl will pay $9.99 to get Royal Rumble and def Wrestlemania, but for whatever reason, these SAME ppl who paid $60 in previous years for ppvs, it doesn't compute in their brain as being a good deal to get 6ppvs for the price of 1. More importantly in this digital age, everything is month to month...and WWE overlooked that.

It'll work better this way in the long run. If Netflix told ppl they had to sign up for 6-months, they'd lose a portion of business too, even tho those same ppl would stay for 6-months anyway
