I'll be honest. From a pure basketball/NBA standpoint, I got no problem with an age limit. In fact, I wouldn't have an issue with it being 21. Most of these kids coming into the league simply aren't ready and take mad long to develop, and just from a fan's perspective I'd rather ready made players come in. The NBA is a private enterprise, so let them do whatever the hell they want.

The issue I have is only with the NCAA and their slave labor. Burn that motherfukker down to a crisp. Or hopefully these kids either start looking at their other options (international) or some American businessman/men come together and take advantage of an opportunity to create another league on some ABA shyt where these guys end up with an avenue to get paid to play in their league.

its not surprising the two sports with the highest percentage of blacks have rules to govern how long you have to be shackled to the ncaa

baseball, hockey, soccer by all means hop right in

imagine a 18 year old connor mcdavid having to wait 1-3 years :mjlol:, imagine mike trout being told you gotta wait till your a junior or bryce harper :mjlol:

acknowledging that a cac is right about something is doing "backflips"?

lol you nikkas try so hard

look at the reactions this thread, you'd think he was marching with MLK at Selma, sorry I'm not giving out gold stars for acknowledging obvious racism

now if SVG wants to talk about black folk getting their due reparations then I'll give him props

Agreed. I think the rule was racist, but it did have a solid economic foundation for the reasoning. League was losing a lot of money paying high schoolers who didn't pan out.

That said, the NCAA needs to start paying players, period. Allow players to have merchandise sold in their name. I also think they should let them get drafted but offer them the opportunity to play college as well. Like say you can enter the draft and get drafted and are also eligible to play in college for a certain amount of years. Win/win for everyone.

I don't think the rule itself, from the NBA perspective, is racist at all. I don't even see the racial component from their side. I think the way/reason a lot of people show support for the rule is based on their racism though. And the NCAA.... man, I could go for thirty years straight talking on those scumbags.

Agreed. People talk about baseball and hockey but they've had minor leagues forever, I don't believe the G league has even seen 20 years yet.
