Dont be ignorant and uninformed.

How is the rule racist?

Ill prove my point you got dudes like jonathan isaac one and done drafted 6 and in the d league.

Very rarely you get a lebron kobe or kg out of high school but 98% of the time you getting a kid that isnt ready. If he develops his game until he 21 he could drastically reduce his chances of being a bust.

Instead these kids rushing to the league where they dont even play.

People bring up the $$$ and helping they family. But what kinda money they making in the dleague and how is dleague money helping they family?

The rule aint racist the rule is there to get guys to develop and figure out their future instead of trying to rush to the league with no backup plan

K but that's on the kid.
Simply put the kid deserves a chance to enter the free market to determine the worth of his skills.especially since the skill set is only valid for a shorty period

"People that were against [players] coming out [of high school] made a lot of excuses, but I think a lot of it was racist," he said, according to the Detroit Free Press' Vince Ellis. "I've never heard anybody go up in arms about [minor-league baseball or hockey]."

Van Gundy also took aim at the NCAA in the aftermath of a Yahoo Sports report that detailed how several prominent college basketball programs and players allegedly violated the organization's rules on amateurism.

"The NCAA is one of the worst organizations—maybe the worst organization—in sports," he said, per Ellis. "They certainly don't care about the athlete."

its not surprising the two sports with the highest percentage of blacks have rules to govern how long you have to be shackled to the ncaa

baseball, hockey, soccer by all means hop right in

imagine a 18 year old connor mcdavid having to wait 1-3 years :mjlol:, imagine mike trout being told you gotta wait till your a junior or bryce harper :mjlol:

look at the reactions this thread, you'd think he was marching with MLK at Selma, sorry I'm not giving out gold stars for acknowledging obvious racism

now if SVG wants to talk about black folk getting their due reparations then I'll give him props

Reparations?

:gucci:

In what world will anyone ask Stan about reparations before or after a basketball game?

So he was playing baseball and making money instead of playing for free with majority kids he was way better than :ohhh:
and doing it in obscurity, which a lot of basketball players can do right now, but opt not to. :krs:

As long as a university is putting together a team, people are gonna watch those teams play, regardless of who wears the jersey.

Nah certain big time players bring in viewers. You don't think damn near every Duke game won't be nationally televised because of that recruiting class for next year? NCAA needs big names, even if it's just for 1 year

Duke games are televised because it's Duke and Duke got a huge fanbase. If you were the star player on Kentucky, Ashley Judd will still be watching at Rupp. If you're a student, attending games comes with your package. Kids will still pack arenas for the same reason Knicks fans still attend MSG whether they're good or not. Your team can be nice or they could struggle, but that is your world and you can't substitute that attachment fans have to their schools. Star power (and in turn, winning) helps your program, but especially today, you can't tie your program around a particular star.
