(1) Butch Jones is arguably the worst coach in professional sports history. I expect Quentin Dormady to be a NFL Draft prospect next year now that he's transferred to Houston. He's got talent.

(2) With regard to Dobbs, he's still on track to be the greatest QB in NFL history. I noticed you had nothing to say about Dobbs 4th preseason game when he led a game winning drive in the closing seconds. Its not about how you start, its about how you finish. He's going into year 2 now. This is when the giant leap will be made. In about 10 months you'll be apologizing to me for slandering the good name of Josh Dobbs after he wins Super Bowl MVP for the Steelers.

(3) I was wrong about Cam Sutton. He's not the next Darrelle Revis. He doesn't have that skill set. What he is, is the next Eric Allen (90s All-Pro CB for the Eagles). Cam Sutton is not the most physically talented corner in the NFL but he is cerebral and has very good instincts. He'll be a perennial Pro-Bowler very soon. Just wait and see.
So Dobbs was arguably the worst player in The History of Professional Sports through 3 weeks of preseason when he had to play NFL players.

But you want me to be impressed by his 23 passes for 200 yards against future bouncers and construction workers in backing up Landry Jones in the 4th game of the preseason ? :deadmanny:

That's not a very good example if you're trying to prove he lacks accuracy. He was under pressure that play and obviously threw it off his back foot without as much velocity as we know he has.

I've watched several of his games in their entirety and I did not see any issues with accuracy. He had a bad offensive line that put him under pressure constantly. He also played in an offense where they were throwing the ball down the field constantly with very little in the way of screen and other easy throws meant to pad the completion percentage.

Josh Allen is arguably the most physically talented QB to enter the NFL in the last 30 years. Bet against him at your own peril. The guy looks like a surefire SUPERSTAR.

Under pressure? :comeon:

That is a routine play for an NFL QB to make. if you're calling him a "mobile" Dan Marino don't turn around and make excuses for him not being able to make a routine throw when he has to step back to avoid a rusher.

Look man. You can go crazy over a small sample size, I don't. He didn't play great in the preseason but he didn't play as bad as you did. And the key in professional sports isn't who is great right off the bat, but who keeps improving and gets better.

Do you remember what Tom Brady looked like as a rookie? I don't cause he was a nobody. But I do remember him as a 2nd year player when he won the Super Bowl. He was just a game manager that wasn't close to the player he is now. What changed? He kept improving and has now built up a resume worthy enough for some to think he's the GOAT.

I would wait a little longer than a couple of preseason games in his rookie year before claiming Dobbs is a surefire bust.

Its still just one play. I've seen him make throws 10x more difficult than that one look routine.

I'm very confident in saying Josh Allen will be the best QB from this class (with Lamar Jackson being the only guy with a shot of being better).

Dobbs isn't a bust. There would have to be expectations for him to be a bust.

He's on pace to do what most end of the 4th round QBs do. Slowly fade away into obscurity and take up a 2nd job.

You would probably be saying the same for Tom Brady as well less than 12 months after he was drafted.

Prepare to be colossally wrong. I have never been more confident about an athlete as I am Robert Joshua Dobbs. He will be a SUPERSTAR in the NFL. Forget about being a starter or just being pretty good. Nothing short of superstardom will surprise me.

I'm surprised you ain't have Kahlil McKenzie as a first round pick since he dominated college :troll:

He obviously was never what he was billed up to be as a recruit. He lacks the explosiveness and first step quickness to be a great 3-techinique. And as a 1-technique/nose tackles he isn't freakishly big and strong like Vita Vea.

However, he is a solid prospect. I think he has a chance to develop into a solid starter like the Pittsburgh Steelers nose tackle Javon Hargrave. He won't make splash plays and he won't put up huge numbers but he'll get the job done when it comes to occupying blockers to free up others to make plays.

if youre wrong about something 50 times and right about something on the 51st time...what does it make you? :patrice:
It’s just so ridiculous though. A dude people barely even know is suddenly not just Dan Marino.......but Dano Marino WITH mobility!

Not really. I form my own opinions about players first and foremost. Then if I hear someone say something I agree with, I will acknowledge it. For example, I like listening to Chris Simms (former NFL QB) talk about the NFL on his podcast (Simms and Leftkoe). Early on in the process he also had Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson as the top 2 QBs in his rankings. I liked that he felt the same about them that I did and I do use some of his defenses as well (i.e. the fact Josh Allen's offense was not conducive to a high completion %). However, he also had Mayfield at #3 and I didn't agree with that. So I don't just agree with him on everything. I just find him to be better than most in the media.

Of the mainstream guys like Todd McShay, Mel Kiper, and Mike Mayock, I typically have no use for their bland opinions. I only use them as a resource to know who everyone thinks the top prospects are. Then I watch tape on them. If I agree then I rank those guys high (i.e. Saquon Barkley). However, if I don't agree (as is the case with most of my #1 players at the different position groups) then I don't listen to them.
Simms & Lefkoe :blessed::blessed::blessed:

They've been all Lamar all day since the start :ehh:

Gotta hand it to those cacs they keep it very real and very raw :smugdraper:

Chris Simms' honesty about players is surprising as fukk :leon::leon:given who his father is and how connected his family is around the league :win:

He pulls no punches, I gotta salute that :salute:
