Don't go out to eat if you can't afford to tip
As a good tipper, it’s more like don’t work in an industry that doesn’t pay you for your labor. If the people financing their lifestyle off your labor aren’t obligated to pay you why TF would you expect a patron to be obligated to?

Such as? I tip my barber and strippers and bartenders because it's customary
Convenient store workers, drive-thru restaurants are asking for tips now and even self-service kiosks as well. Places that never used to ask for tips are starting to do it now.

It’s not about being broke. It’s the fact the everyone is starting to get in on the tip culture.

I use to think like this when I was broke, which is why I know people complaining about tipping in general are broke. Tipping isn’t a new concept and if your parents raised you right you tip accordingly. No one is shaming people for not tipping Apu or Bethany at Starbucks. In fact I think the general population thinks tipping anyone who isn’t providing a service like delivery or serving is ridiculous. It’s a simple as don’t tip the people who you wouldn’t normally tip and tip the people who deserve it. It’s not that hard of concept to grasp. I have no shame hitting No Tip for a barista at Starbucks because that’s not a tippable situation and if you feel pressured to tip in any situation that’s a problem you gotta figure out cause no one is putting a gun to your head. shyt is just regular when you were raised right and you aren’t broke. Just spent $100 on dinner wtf is another $20?!
